Gameplay

The goal of each level is too collect all the Emerald Gems to open the door. Other treasures can be collected, but the Emerald Gems are your main concern. Along the way you must avoid a variety of enemies and obstacles. The player has a jetpack which can only carry a limited amount of fuel. The player can phase through brick walls, but not through gray stone.

In some stages there are teleporters. Pressing down on a teleporter teleports you to another teleporter of the same color. Enemies always go through teleporters. There are also switches which can be activated in the same way. These switches activate or deactivate barriers of the same color. Enemies can only activate floor switches, which are always activated by going through them.

There are a variety of surfaces to walk on. There is ice, which is slippery, sludge, which slows you down, and conveyor belts, which move you.

• F2 Players: 1-8
• F3 Starting Level: 0, 10, 20, 30, etc...
• F4 Game Type: Standard, Custom Levels, Resume a Saved Game
• F5 Joysticks: Disabled, Automatic, Force Port 1 (if auto doesn't work)

Items

Items	Points	Description
Emerald Gem	5	You must collect all of these to complete a level.
Tank of Fuel	10	Fills you fuel bar halfway.
Double Tank	20	Completely fills your fuel.
Gold Coin	10
Pile of Gold	25
Golden Vase	50
Extra Life	100	Grants you an extra life.
Stunner	25	Temporarily freezes all enemies, rendering them harmless. May appear randomly.
Shield	25	Grants temporary invincibility. Only appears randomly.
Energy Charger		Refills fuel when touched.
Energy Drain		Absorbs fuel when touched.
Steel Barrier		Can be phased through, but quickly reappears.
Hidden Spear		Impales you when touched. Avoid these!
Spikes		Don't touch!

Enemies

Eight different varieties of enemies will try to impede your quest.

Enemy	Description
Trackbot	This enemy will try to follow you.
Steel Ball	Rolls around to crush you.
Spring	Bounces up and down.
Missile	The fastest enemy. If flies in a set pattern.
Spikes	Bounces diagonally off walls
Flitzer	Moves randomly.
Batbot	Can be considered a flying trackbot.
Homer	Travels slowly, but through everything.

Cheats

Through the course of your adventure you may be tempted to cheat. Don't give up! You can make it!

But in the case that your too wimpy to try, here are some cheats. But remember, it's still cheating.

• Backspace + ': Skip a level. Can only be used twice per game per player.
