Modern-day Japan, in the town of Morioh inside S-City's Koyo Ward...
Near a strange structure that appeared in town, the "Wall Eyes," a mysterious young man with a star birthmark is found underground.
He appears to have amnesia and doesn't even know his own name.
Named Josuke Higashikata by his guardian, he returns to the Wall Eyes on a quest to recover his memories.
This is a story about lifting a curse...
Somehow he must break his "curse".
To unlock and access this section of Story Mode, you must first clear Parts 1-7 of Story Mode first. In doing so, you will also unlock Josuke Higashikata 8 as a playable character, giving you a chance to practice with him before tackling this part. As JoJolion was in the early stages at the time of this game's release, All Star Battle does not adapt any events from Part 8, instead pitting Josuke 8 against every single JoJo in succession, including himself (and Ikuro Hashizawa with DLC).
Episode 1: Phantom Blood (Josuke Higashikata 8 vs. Jonathan Joestar)[edit]
Arriving at the Wall Eyes, he discovers someone buried beneath it.
A large muscular man crawls out from the earth, tensing up and assuming a fighting pose when he sees Josuke.
Josuke attempts to fend off this potential menace, but...

Episode 2: Battle Tendency (Josuke Higashikata 8 vs. Joseph Joestar)[edit]
Once the man falls, he is absorbed into the earth and disappears.
Josuke, shocked by this, decides to continue his investigation, sensing that there must be something to the Wall Eyes.
Soon, he discovers someone else buried below his feet.
He resembles the man from before, but seems lighter... more agile, somehow.
After crawling out from the ground, the man insults Josuke and attacks.

Episode 3: Stardust Crusaders (Josuke Higashikata 8 vs. Jotaro Kujo)[edit]
After the second man is defeated, he too is absorbed into the ground and disappears.
Continuing his search of the Wall Eyes, Josuke witnesses yet another figure emerge from the ground.
This one appears to be a Japanese high-school student, but he is just as strong as the last two.
Flashing him a steely look, the young man moves toward Josuke.

Episode 4: Diamond is Unbreakable (Josuke Higashikata 8 vs. Josuke Higashikata 4)[edit]
Defeated, the third man is also absorbed into the earth where he disappears from sight.
Continuing his search of the Wall Eyes, Josuke witnesses yet another figure emerge from the ground.
He is another Japanese high-schooler, like the third man, but younger and a tad shorter.
After fixing his hairdo, he asks Josuke who he is, before giving him a final warning...

Continuing his search of the Wall Eyes, Josuke witnesses yet another figure emerge from the ground.
The blond-haired boy exudes a mysterious aura, making it hard to get a handle on him.
Is he Japanese or Western? A friend, or a foe? It's impossible to be certain.
In a smooth, yet fierce voice, he speaks to Josuke.

This one was a woman.
Upon noticing Josuke, she flashes him a look with her cold eyes and assumes a fighting stance.

This one is larger than any of the previous ones-- in fact, it is a man riding atop a horse.
When he notices Josuke, he points an accusing finger at him and readies for battle.

Continuing his search of the Wall Eyes, Josuke witnesses yet another figure emerge from the ground.
It is none other than Josuke Higashikata himself.
The other Josuke seems surprised to see his twin here, but quickly readies himself and his bubbles.

Yasuho Hirose... Maybe she could tell him something.
And so, Josuke decides to go and see Yasuho.
