Our story begins at the end of the 19th century with Jonathan Joestar, a wealthy English nobleman.
In order to stop Dio, transformed into a vampire by the Stone Mask, Jonathan dives into battle inside the burning Joestar manor.
In the end, he manages to defeat Dio by the skin of his teeth. But all was not well.
Episode 1: Zeppeli the Eccentric (Jonathan Joestar vs. Will A. Zeppeli)[edit]
The battle with Dio costs Jonathan his father, his home... everything. It also leaves him gravely injured and unconscious.
But thanks to the tender care of his childhood friend Erina Pendleton, Jonathan is soon well enough to walk again.
And then one day, Jonathan meets with a mysterious man...

Episode 2: Hamon Training (Will A. Zeppeli vs. Jonathan Joestar)[edit]
The mysterious man who appears before him introduces himself as Zeppeli.
Before long, Zeppeli reveals a shocking truth to Jonathan:
Dio, the man he thought he had defeated, is still alive.
Showing off his incredible breath-driven Hamon skills, Zeppeli tells Jonathan the he must learn Hamon as well if he is to survive.
To prepare for the fated rematch against Dio, Jonathan agrees to begin training at once.

Episode 3: Power of the Mask (Will A. Zeppeli vs. Dio Brando)[edit]
His training complete, Jonathan, along with Zeppeli and his friend Speedwagon, travel to Dio's hideout in Windknights Lot.
With no time to recover from the journey, night soon falls and the vampire Dio reveals himself.
Dio had sucked the blood of all the town's inhabitants, using it to almost completely heal his burns from the mansion fire.
The overwhelming sense of evil, coupled with Dio's descent into tyranny is enough to chill Zeppeli to the core.
Pushing Jonathan aside, he challenges Dio to battle.

Final Episode: Blood Feud (Jonathan Joestar vs. Dio Brando)[edit]
Zeppeli drives his fist deep into Dio, hoping to blast his Hamon energy into him.
But Dio uses Vaporizing Freeze to vaporize the fluid in Zeppeli's body and seal off his Hamon energy.
With that, Dio summons two of his strongest undead servants, the Dark Knights, Blueford and Tarukus.
Dio had defiled their graves, resurrecting them as undying vampires.
Purified by Jonathan's Hamon, Blueford is able to return to his deathly slumber as the proud warrior he was in life.
But Tarukus remains a creature of the underworld, dragging Jonathan into the Chamber of the Two-Headed Dragon for a fight to the death.
Zeppeli faces up against Tarukus to save Jonathan, and channels all his energy to him before his own life is sacrificed.
Filled with inconsolable sadness and rage, Jonathan throws himself at Tarukus...
And now, he faces Dio in the final battle.

The evil Dio falls into the ravine and meets his demise at last... or so it seemed.
But Dio, now just a disembodied head, lives still.
Jonathan and Erina marry, and as they enjoy their honeymoon, Dio attacks their ship, attempting to take over Jonathan's body.
Surprised by Dio's attack, Jonathan's throat is pierced by Dio's strike.
- Jonathan: Be...be happy...Erina.
Dio: Let go, JoJo...let go. I have a proposal for you.- I can give you an eternity, just like mine! I can heal your wounds...
- You can live together with Erina forever, JoJo!
- JoJo...?!
- He--He's dead...!
With his last ounce of strength, Jonathan set off a huge explosion and he and Dio disappear beneath the waves...
Erina escapes the sinking ship, bringing an orphaned infant along with her.
Two days later, Erina Joestar is rescued not far from the Canary Islands.
With that, the legend of the Stone Mask comes to a close.
But it is also the beginning of a new generation and a new adventure...
