JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 オールスターバトルR,JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Oru Sutaa Battoru Aru?) is a fighting game developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was released in Japan on September 1, 2022, with an English localization releasing the next day worldwide on September 2. It is an updated version of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle.
The game sees players take control of one of 51 different characters (60 with DLC) from across the series' history, engaging in 1v1 battles in a 2.5D arena. Each character has a designated "Style" which determines how they play, and each stage has a hazard that activates when a character is knocked down in a designated area, as well as a "Situation Finish" ("Dramatic Finish" in the English version) which plays a special animation should a character be defeated near a certain location of the stage.
New to this version is the Support Attack system, allowing fighters to call upon a second character to perform an assisting attack either offensively with Assault Assists to extend combos, set traps, or attack from range, or defensively with Reversal Assists to break out of opponents' combos. Characters can now also perform a Stylish Guard, letting them buffer a Stylish Evade until it is triggered by an attack, similar to some characters' counter moves.
