Walkthrough[edit]

Marina del Nan: Before rushing down to the marina, you may wish to return to the small village of Massa far to the east, in order to purchase a Sand Rat for Poyon in order to expand his inventory. Find Marina del Nan at the southern tip of the peninsula south of the mountain range next to Yatoma. The enemies that you encounter as you approach the Marina will be stronger, but with two of you, you should have less trouble defeating them. When you get there, be sure to purchase the improved equipment for Kupikupi, including the Esper's Hat, Alen's Sword, and Fake Shield. Then rest up at the hotel in preparation for the fight with the Goblin. You should be able to defeat him and earn 2500 Pearls in the process. This will certainly help you secure the 2600 Pearls that you need in order to buy a boat. Purchase the boat and then head outside.

Location of the Queen Sword

The Third Map: The Traveling Monk that Poyon spoke with said that the Third Map indicated a location south of Rolan Castle. However, the easiest way to reach your next destination is to actually launch your boat west of Marina del Nan, and sail straight west. You will eventually reach an island. Check the Third Map for the location of the spot that you must investigate, and then sail to that spot and Search to find the Queen Sword. Once you've got it, sail straight north to reach land and continue on your journey.

Location of the Gold Key

Return to Fidan: At this point, your work in the south has concluded, and it's time to return to the northern reaches where Poyon comes from. Send Kupikupi and Poyon back up to the north (you can skip the "Devil's formation" if you like by sailing across the channel) and stop at Patanta if necessary to rest and restore your health. Your goal is to return to the town of Fidan, the small island town accessible only by a bridge to the north (location 3-C). In Fidan, you may have noticed that the entire right portion of the town is covered in water. Previously, you could not investigate any of it, but now that you have a boat, you can sail behind the shop and explore. Be sure to bring a canteen with you, because you will find an old man stuck on a small strip of land who is very thirsty. Give him some water and in exchange, he'll provide you with the Gold Key.

Detour to Banaya: The next step is not required, but it's a very good idea to visit Banaya at this point to purchase a strong piece of equipment for Poyon. To reach Banaya, briefly head north out of Fidan until you are above the mountain range, and then go as far to the east as you can until you hit the coast. Then sail to the east and head north when you hit land, and you will find the town of Banaya (location 1-F). While you can talk to the locals to get some information, you're primary objective is to visit the shop and purchase a Sword of Power for Poyon.

The Second Map: Your next objective is to search for the sunken treasure indicated on Babubabu's map. This treasure is said to be north of Bendal Belday Castle. But the easiest way to reach it is to return to Fidan, and then head as far north as you can until you hit a range of mountains along a north coast. Then hop in your ship and sail a short distance west to find an island. On this island is the small town of Nozan where you can rest up. Examine the Second Map to determine where the treasure is hidden, sail to that spot and Search the location in order to find the Heaven Scroll. You should now have all four sunken treasures, but there are still lots more hidden items to find, including one that is nearby.

Whale Whiskers: While you were in Nozan, you may have spoken to an inhabitant who swore they knew nothing about the Whale Wiskers, and how they might be found on an island to the east. If you hop in your boat and sail to the east, above the mountain coast line, you will in fact arrive on a very small horizontal island. You have no map to guide you this time, but the island is only constructed out of ten spaces, so it's not too difficult to search the entire island. If you search the east-most tip of the island, you will locate the Whale Whiskers and add them to your inventory.

Warp from Patanta: With all of your northern sailing complete, it's time for the two pairs to join together in one big party. You left one pair waiting on the small island of Tangu, and it just so happens that there's a warp to this island, but you need the Gold Key to access it. Since you picked up the Gold Key in Fidan, head now to the town of Patanta, found to the east of the bridge which lies far south of Fidan. In Patanta, you will see a small hut on the left with a locked door. This door can't be opened with a Silver Key. Only the Gold Key will open it. Head inside and you'll find a well. Use the well, and you will be transported to Tangu, where you can meet up with the other team and join together as one party of four. At this time, send them all back through the well to Patanta and prepare for the next leg of your journey.
