Though Gokudera grew up in a wealthy household, he ran away from home after learning the truth about his biological mother and the illegitimacy of his birth. Afterward, he sought training from Dr. Shamal, where he developed a fascination for explosives.
Gokudera, like Tsuna, is a skilled fighter. However, instead of relying on hand-to-hand combat, he utilizes a multitude of hidden dynamite to attack all enemies of his boss. All of Gokudera's heavy attacks involve the use of dynamite sticks, making him one of the more capable long-range fighters.
