When Tsuna is shot with Reborn's Dying Will Bullet, he enters Dying Will Mode (死ぬ気). When in Dying Will Mode, Tsuna becomes reckless with a strong disregard toward his own safety, accompanied by a large increase in strength. He usually enters this mode in a crisis, with its primary purpose being to fulfill his will before he was shot.
In-game, Tsuna's Dying Will Mode gives him a move set which is entirely different from his calm and controlled Hyper Dying Will variant. His method of attacking with fire involves headbutting the opponent with the Dying Will Flame on his head, producing a damaging cloud. He is also able to lift boulders right out of the ground to throw them at enemies. While his move set is much more sporadic and clunky when compared to a cool-headed Tsuna, Dying Will Tsuna's attacks cover a wide range and travel farther, making him an easy choice for beginners.
