Sora[edit]

The world begins with a scene. Sora hears a mention of the word "monsters" and runs for it, ready to get rid of the attacking Dream Eaters. After the scene, you'll be introduced to this world's Reality Shift, in which you can connect lines on the touch screen to create traps for enemies. You will then be in control of Sora in the town, though before beginning, make sure you make all the necessary updates in the menus; edit the deck to account for the new empty slot, spend some time with your Dream Eaters to make them more powerful by unlocking new abilities, and replace the Kingdom Key with the stronger Skull Noise.

In front of you is a Save Point and a Moogle Shop. Stock up on potions and buy the new recipe while you're at it. You'll be able to collect the materials in this world to form the new Dream Eater. When you're done with these, exit through the opening between them to continue the story. After the scene, fight the group of Dream Eaters that attack. You will be introduced to some new, stronger enemies here, such as Zolephants (which Sora may roll into to initiate Flowmotion attacks as was possible on Kooma Pandas) and Necho Cats (which have the ability to paralyze Sora by throwing orbs of thunder at him). Defeat them all to obtain a Zolephant Recipe. Before heading into the cathedral, clear out the area for treasures. Go back by the entrance and walk along the west wall for a chest containing a Potion, then the south wall to find a chest containing an Ice Dream Cone. Keep walking along this wall and stray off when you see the stage; there is a chest on the visible side of it containing a Balloon. Now walk along the east wall and all the way to the north you should find the final chest, with Block-it Chocolate inside. Once that's done, head into the cathedral.

Cathedral[edit]

Keep moving forward and defeat the Dream Eaters which obstruct your path. A wide range of enemies are featured here, including returning ones from Traverse Town. Once the area is cleared, head to the wall right of the center for a chest containing a Potion. Keep heading up this wall until you reach the rounded wall at the end of the building; to the left of one of the pillars here is another chest, this one holding Drop-Me-Not. Now, keep walking across to the west wall and in the second gap in the wall you'll find a Block-it Chocolate. Now, go back to the head of the cathedral, where the large statue is situated. There should be a Reality Shift icon here. Press A button + X button to activate it, and draw a line to the nearest dot to make Sora glide up to the cathedral's upper level.

Walk, again, to the end of the round northern-most wall. Defeat the enemies that spawn here, and open the chest for a Royal Cake. Keep walking to the western side of this level to find another Reality Shift icon at the edge of the ledge, directly across from another. Use it to access the other ledge by drawing a line south to it. Alternatively, it is possible to reach it using Flowmotion by leaping off of the walls. Go right to the western wall to find another Drop-Me-Not behind a screen. Defeat the enemies that spawn here and use Reality Shift one more time to get to the ledge across this one. Open the chest for the area's final treasure, a Water Barrel. Drop back down to the floor below and access the staircase by the entrance to move on. While on the balcony, use the only other door here for a scene.

After the scene, you will obtain a Flashback: "Frollo Cautions Quasimodo". This can either be viewed now, or seen later in the menu under "Mementos". Don't exit the Bell Tower just yet; hop on the box and up the platform for a Save Point and a Drop-Me-Not. Continue to jump up on the ledges wherever you see a ladder, then use the box to jump up to the next platform. Open the chest here for a Balloon. Go back across to the other side, where you should see another a box, and use it to reach the final large platform. Jump across the wheels here, then head right. You should see a horizontal bar; use Flowmotion to grab it and hop off of it to a higher platform. Open the chest for a Dulcet Fragment. Drop back down, and hop on the box in front of another horizontal bar. Again, use Flowmotion to get onto the higher ledge. Head left to find another ledge here, and hop onto it for another Drop-Me-Not. Drop all the way back down, and exit after saving. Walk back past the balcony to the Nave. Defeat the enemies here to help Sora level up a bit, then finally exit the Cathedral.

Town[edit]

From the Square, head back toward Town. After the scene, continue moving on to the next area for a new objective. Defeat the large plant-like Dream Eaters to remove the vines from the doors and move on to the next section. This will have to be done three times until progressing to the next area. Beware the poison and the other ferocious Dream Eaters which spawn to aid the "big flower" ones. After defeating the last, Sora's Maximum HP will be increased. Now return back to the entrance of the area where the Save Point and the Moogle Shop are (collecting the Wheeflower Recipe unlocked from defeating one of the Dream Eaters along the way) to begin collecting treasures.

Jump up on the tarp which acts as awning for the produce (as you had to do when fighting against the Dream Eaters earlier) and it will bounce Sora to the roof above. Press A button + X button to activate Reality Shift as had to be done in the Cathedral, drawing a line for Sora to glide across the roof in the center. From there, use Reality Shift to round the corner to the northern building, where a treasure chest holds an Ice Dream Cone. Find the bridge between the rooftops using Flowmotion; descend from the rooftop directly north of it for a Confetti Candy. Go back across the bridge and keep progressing past it, over the wall and down the stairs. Drop down here for a Troubling Fancy. Use Flowmotion to get back up the wall and to the stairs, then use Flowmotion again to climb up the tower. In one of the alcoves at the top will be Treasure Goggles.

In the far southwestern corner of the area (by the entrance), you will find a path of rooftops leading off the map. Follow them to find a large chest containing the powerful Sparkra. In the final area before the exit, use Flowmotion to get up a southern wall and find a Lofty Figment. That concludes the treasure hunt for this area. Continue on the trio's journey to find Esmeralda.

Outskirts, Graveyard, and Tunnels[edit]

Walk past the group of boxes to the left and to the right of the barrels, in the narrow space between them and the bridge wall. Here you will find a Block-it Chocolate. Now progress forward on the bridge, fighting the Nightmares that come your way. In the tower up ahead is a Shield Cookie. Jump over the barrels to continue on until you reach the next area, opening up a chest for a Potion. Pick up the final treasure in this area behind the overturned cart, Paint Gun: Red x10, and exit to the next.

When the path splits, go left first. Following the ambush of Komory Bats, take Drop-Me-Not from the chest, then head back to the fork. Destroy the incomplete tower here to continue on, opening the chest to the left of the path for a Potion. Destroy another mass of lumber in the way to find a Balloon under the archway up ahead. Now go back and head into the clearing on the right. Defeat the enemies here before opening the chests for a Noble Figment and Confetti Candy. Backtrack to the previous clearing and follow the path forward to approach the Graveyard.

Save by the gate and fight the enemies in the yard. Open the chest to the right for Drop-Me-Not. Follow the wall to the left of the entrance for a Potion. Before entering the Tunnels, find the chest to the right of the underground passage containing an Ice Dream Cone. The Tunnels are something of a labyrinth, but as long as you don't lose sight of direction during battle, there's no reason to get lost. Proceed to the passage to the left, then take a right at the split to find an Ice Dream Cone 2 at the corner of this room. Sora will then be told that his Dream Eaters are onto something. Break the wall that they frantically bounce by to open up a new direction.

Follow this path, breaking the next wall in the process, to find a room covered in toxic gas. Either use Flowmotion or Reality Shift to make it to the platform across the room which the gas-spewing vase sits on. From this ledge, use Reality Shift to make it to the far-left of the room. Defeat the enemies on this ledge and claim the Block-it Chocolate 2. Then, use Reality Shift to obtain the treasure on the ledge at the far-right of the room, Drop-Me-Not. Now drop down from the ledge all the way to the ground floor to find a chest containing Paint Gun: Purple x10 by a pillar. Break a rock at a northern wall around here, by the breakable wall which leads to the exit, for a Noble Fantasy. Find another breakable boulder by the raised platform which you entered the area from for Sleepra. Now, exit through the aforementioned breakable wall to the next area.

Court of Miracles[edit]

Find the chest by the wall opposite the entrance to the Catacombs for a Drop-Me-Not, then enter the Catacombs. Use Flowmotion to obtain the Water Barrel up on the higher level here, then drop down to the lowest level and defeat the enemies. Find the breakable wall for a Fire Windmill, and equip it if you need a powerful physical attack in your deck. Continue forward to find another spill of toxic gas. Use the Reality Shift nearby or Flowmotion to get up to the higher level and destroy the source of the gas. There's a ledge a bit higher that's close by which can be accessed by Flowmotion. Get there for a Shield Cookie. Do the same with the ledge to the other side of this platform for a Drop-Me-Not. Now that the toxic gas is gone from the floors, drop down and find another breakable wall by the dead end of this section for a Toximander Recipe. Find the exit on this floor, then jump up (use Flowmotion if necessary) to get to the upper level of the narrow path for a Royal Cake. Exit the area to the next.

Finally, Sora has reached the Court of Miracles. Before speaking to Esmeralda, focus on the treasures to the left; a Block-it Chocolate behind a pillar along the left wall, a Hi-Potion which can be accessed by using Flowmotion on one of the banners which connects ledges, and lastly, follow the staircase all the way up for Thunder Dash. Save, then speak to Esmeralda for a series of scenes followed by a boss fight.

Boss: Wargoyle[edit]

Prepare your Cure spells and Potions, and make sure you have a good offensive attack or two in your deck. Wargoyle is a challenging opponent, and considering the damage it can deal to Sora in only a small barrage of attacks, can be considered a difficulty spike. Dodging is vital here, though relying wholly on Flowmotion to do this for you can prove challenging in itself, considering the tents along the walls which Sora is incapable of mounting via Flowmotion.

Wargoyle's attacks consist primarily of shooting magic-based missiles and performing a spin attack, stretching out its arms to create a wide radius which can knock Sora down even if he isn't in close proximity. Instead of dodging without break, try keeping up the pace by dodging whenever it attacks. It changes stances quickly, so it won't do Sora any good to be caught by a sudden missile mid-dodge.

Despite its powerful attacks, there are some clear upsides to this battle. A large arena means less opportunity for Sora to get cornered, and the Wargoyle will even give him a break once in a while. After its massive spin attack, the Wargoyle will usually fall due to exhaustion. Use this small window to land Sora's most powerful attacks on the downed beast, but be wary of the time limit here; the Wargoyle will shoot up with a powerful kickflip when it's done resting. The range of this attack can be seen by the circle surrounding it soon before the attack begins due to the magic involved in this attack. If you are desperate, use this opportunity to instead cure Sora or activate a special attack with one of your Dream Eaters, though the latter is best saved for a cornered Sora in critical condition. Once you complete the battle, Sora's Deck Capacity will increase and he will be able to move on to the next world.

Riku[edit]

Dive Boss: Queen Buzzerfly[edit]

During this dive, Riku experiences his first mid-air boss fight in the form of Queen Buzzerfly. Get past the enormous Nightmare to land safely in La Cité des Cloches. When the battle starts, Riku's attacks aren't able to reach Queen Buzzerfly. She will occasionally send poison stingers to attack Riku (which can be dodged easily with Y button) but will mostly leave the attacking to her little drones. They attack by either closing into Riku like drills or the two of them will form a laser together in an attempt to trap Riku. Dodge one of these attacks and they will slowly descend back to their queen. Use this opportunity to attack them. It may take a couple of rounds of this to destroy all drones, but once that's done, Riku will finally get an opportunity at the queen. Target her head and attack relentlessly, until her drones are summoned once again to repeat the routine. Defeat her quickly for a good rank.

Main[edit]

You will have control of Riku in the Square. Turn back to Town if you'd like to save or buy something from the Moogle Shop, then return to the Square. Walk along the right wall from his starting position for a Confetti Candy, then the left for a Potion. Walk over to the stage and on the right side of it is a Shield Cookie. Defeat all of the enemies here, then head to the northeast corner by the cathedral entrance for a Balloon. Enter the cathedral for a scene. Riku will make for the door, but stick around here for some treasures. Walk up to the center and some Dream Eaters will spawn. Defeat them, then turn right for a chest containing Paint Gun: Yellow x10 along the eastern wall. Walk along this wall all the way to the rounded wall at the top of the map, and you should find a Rampant Figment behind one of these pillars. Now return to the entrance and use a Reality Shift icon by here (or, alternatively, Flowmotion) to bring Riku up to the upper ledges. The one to the southwest holds a Drop-Me-Not and the southeastern a Shield Cookie 2. At the center of the northern ledge is a large chest containing Fira. Defeat all Dream Eaters on this level before dropping down and taking the stairs up to the balcony leading to the bell tower.

If you've done Sora's side already, the locations of these treasure chests should be familiar. Jump up one level to find a Save Point and a chest containing a Drop-Me-Not. Keep following the path up until Riku ends up in front of the bells. Go right from here for another Drop-Me-Not. Now jump to the next level and over the wheels to find the horizontal bars. Use Flowmotion to swing on the bar and propel Riku to a ledge. From here, find another ledge to the left and back for a Dulcet Figment. There's another horizontal bar to the right; take it up to find a Royal Cake. You can now drop back down, exit the bell tower, go down the stairs from the balcony, and exit the cathedral. Fight the enemies which spawn in the Square before entering Town.

Town and Bridge[edit]

Save at the Save Point and buy anything you may need at the Moogle Shop. When that's done, defeat the Dream Eaters before jumping up on the tarp to propel Riku to a rooftop. Use Reality Shift or Flowmotion to glide over to the rooftop across, then round the corner to the rooftop on the left for a Noble Fantasy. Now get to the tower by the aerial bridge, and descend the stairs for a Potion. Climb the tower and on the southern side you should find Treasure Goggles. Now turn to the southwestern-most corner, where a path of rooftops lead off the map. Defeat the enemies here and get to the end of the path for a Block-it Chocolate, then drop down to find a chest containing a Drop-Me-Not. Now head to the center of the Town, where the exit is. Go to the northeastern area here and defeat the Dream Eaters that spawn, then find the stairs and ascend them for an Ice Dream Cone. Drop back down and find the tarp in this small area. Make Riku bounce up on it and you should spot a treasure chest on the rooftop across the center of town. Use Flowmotion or Reality Shift as usual to get there for a Water Barrel. Exit the area to the Bridge.

Dream Eaters will freely spawn all across the bridge and treasure chests are scattered around as well. Unfortunately, Riku cannot take his time here as Sora could, since the Wargoyle is constantly targeting him. Fireballs will be launched from up above and Riku has no choice but to dodge them until he can escape the aerial beast. Start off by following the right wall to a chest containing Confetti Candy between some crates and bridge wall. Ignore the Dream Eaters for now and make your way to the first tower; you'll have plenty of time to grind later, without the hindrance of a Wargoyle attack. Open up the chest in the first tower for a Balloon, then the second tower for a Potion. Lastly, the final treasure chest in this area sits behind the overturned cart by the exit. It contains Confetti Candy 2. If you missed one of the chests here, don't worry about it as you will be returning to this area later. Exit to the next area, where the Wargoyle's attacks continue.

Outskirts[edit]

The case here is the same as it was on the Bridge; Dream Eaters spawn and treasures can be found, but you can simply run past this area to avoid the Wargoyle's attacks and collect all you missed the second time around instead. However, if these attacks don't bother you enough to stop you from picking up some treasures, then proceed to the collecting. There's a split after the first opening. Destroy the flimsy tower on the right and pick up the chest containing Paint Gun: Purple x10. In the alcove up ahead is a Drop-Me-Not, and back to the left path is a Confetti Candy. Now head to the right path (to the opening created by breaking the second tower) and find the two chests containing a Shield Cookie and a Potion to the right. Exit the area to finally be rid of the Wargoyle...for now.

For entering the new area, you get a scene, a Flashback, and Sonic Impact. Find the Save Point and equip this new action command to the deck. Walk forward from the Save Point, to the left, to find a Water Barrel, and fight the Dream Eaters freely without any overhead attacks. All the way to the right is a Block-it Chocolate. To the left is a small slope which leads to a large chest containing Sliding Crescent. Equip this as well, clear the area of Dream Eaters, and pick up the chest along the path containing a Shield Cookie before exiting. Riku will now trek back to Town through familiar areas, so feel free to battle and open up any missed chests. Once in Town, prepare any way you can for the challenging boss fight up ahead. Equip Potions and Cure spells, unlock some abilities for your Dream Eaters, and save before exiting to the Square. Following a scene, enter the cathedral for another scene, then head up the stairs to the balcony to trigger the fight.

Boss: Wargoyle[edit]

If you've defeated Wargoyle on Sora's side, then you should know what you can expect from this Nightmare, as different as the arena may be. The difficulty spikes once again in Riku's second encounter with Wargoyle, and this beast has the strength and attacks to prove it. Unlike Sora's ground-based battle, much of this battle is done in mid-air. The Wargoyle may move out of reach of Riku by hovering over the flames, but Riku can follow by gliding over the heat. Whenever Riku returns back to the tower, he drops to the floor and may use all of his usual attacks, including Flowmotion. Whenever the Wargoyle prepares one of its greater attacks, dropping back to solid ground is recommended.

The Wargoyle will either punch, throw a fireball, or shoot a mass of fiery bullets when targeting Riku. Bullets can be easily avoided by hiding behind one of the columns provided by the cathedral, unless it has followed you to the tower, in which case you should use Flowmotin to dodge excessively. At times, a Reality Shift icon will pop up and you will be prompted to activate it. For a quicker battle, use this as soon as it comes up. Create a path on the touch screen which crosses over the unsuspecting Nightmare and press A button to attack, unleashing a great deal of guaranteed damage and knocking off a good bit of its health. Depending on the difficulty, using linked attacks with your Dream Eaters may also be essential. Combine these powerful attacks and the powerful Wargoyle will fall quickly enough, earning Riku the Guardian Bell and allowing him to leave the world.
