Bad Streets 1[edit]

You start in the roadhouse named Coventry. Madame Raven tells you to go upstairs and pick up the first piece of armor and the first weapon but don’t rush there yet. Scout the place and pick up the Pamphlet if you like collecting these. Use the jukebox in the corner to play the Psycho Circus composition. Now head upstairs for the gauntlets. Now you can destroy the wooden barrier at the bar counter but don’t go downstairs yet.

Secret: Walk to the fan on the ceiling and notice the wires near it. Walk down the wires to pick up a Blood Rose.

Scout the room and pick up some ammo. Wait until the music stops playing and pick up an ammo from the jukebox. If you have destroyed it before it stops playing, you won’t get ammo from it.

When you’ve finished, destroy the barrier at the bar counter, jump over it and press the switch. The door will open, and a few Headless will appear waddling towards you. Slash them across the bar counter, it's safer this way. When they are dealt with, enter the door and proceed forward.

As you turn around the corner, a few more Headless will spawn and jump down. Step back and deal with them. The door to the right is where you need to go but it’s locked yet, so go forward and smash the crates to take some Jacks In The Box and walk through the next door to a small room with some shelves and a spiral ladder.

If you walk through the door you will find yourself in a dark room with a key on the crates you cannot reach for now, so head up the stairs. The next room is infested with Headless, more of them hiding in wooden crates. Red rid of them and walk further to see a door on the left, a fuse crate and a room to the right.

Destroy the fuse crate (despite its exploding animation, you won’t receive damage) and brace yourself. The far-away door will open revealing more enemies, among those a stationary Spawner. Rush to the refrigerator room and slay the Spawner to stop it from creating more Headless.

Pick up some goodies including a Zero Cannon and some water ammo for it. You can climb up the shelves just like you climb up ladders. Luckily, Headless cannot reach you while you’re up on the shelf.

When finished, walk out the door, turn left and run to the next Spawner. If you want to use your blade to deal with it, don’t fall down through a hole on the floor. Jump down through a hole nearby to pick up some power and a Jack In A Box. Once you’re done, jump down and pick up the key you’ve seen before.

Now drop down from the crates and head up the spiral stairs. Walk through the double doors to the left of the fusion crate. A hew Headless will be waiting for you there. You will see two holes to drop down and a way to the street with an EXIT sign. There’s nothing left to do here’ so jump down.

Secret: Try to land not on the ground floor, but on the floor between the one you dropped from and the ground one. Turn your back to the exit and walk to the corridor. You will see the wires. Follow them to pick up a few Black Diamonds.

From the ground floor shoot the exploding barrel near the front door. If you dropped down in the corridor, use the key to get back. Anyway, pick up some earth ammo and exit to the street.

As soon as the level starts, you will be demonstrated the next type of foes – the Stump. A few of them will head towards you, so if you hear their barking, get your weapons ready. Deal with the enemies including the Stump on the roof (it might not be there on lower difficulty settings).

Once you’ve cleared the area in front of the roadhouse, have a look around. You will see a DOCKS sign and a way to the docks, obviously. Don’t go there yet. Head to the right to the ally which was shown in the cut-scene and prepare your Zero Cannon.

A few Stumps will attack you, but some Headless will spawn behind you at the same time so watch your back. Also Batwings will fly down the narrow alley from time to time, so you’d better evade them as well.

Look at the small structure with a few crates to the right. There’s a Key in there, unreachable for now. Ignore it. Pick up a Blood Rose or save it for later. If you head for some Black Diamonds and a Health Potions to the right, Headless and Stumps will appear.

The small structure down the stairs to the left is where you need to go now. Kill all the enemies and pick up Magma Cannon. You might want to jump into the water on the right to be safe from Stumps’ fire spits. Don’t do it! Fire projectiles will deal full damage even underwater.

Anyway, after you’ve picked up some goodies head back with your newly-obtained weapon. Go up the stairs through the door. As soon as you open the door, a Spawner ahead of you will come to life. Slay it using explosive barrels nearby and jump down.

Now the real fun begins! Enemies will attack you from everywhere: Headless and Stumps will be spawned and walk to you from all sides, Spawner in one of the niches will come to life, a lone Stump will spit fire at you from the roof. No need to say that you must slay them all.

When you feel safe, pull the lever in one of the niches and watch a cut scene introducing another monster. Fight the foes, walk to the cathedral or church or whatever it is and pick up the second piece of armor.

Now you can jump higher and climb the crates. Don’t forget to pick up Jack In The Box in a dark corner before heading back (this item isn’t worth your time if you can’t find it, really). Anyway, leave the pit, turn left and walk until you see the small building you walked through before you got here. Stop and turn left. Jump up the parapet and follow it to pick up Water Tablet.

Head back to the alley and pick up the Key in a doghouse-looking structure. Head back to the beginning of the level.

Now walk left from the entrance of the roadhouse and down following the DOCKS sign. If you do so, you will encounter a Spawner which spawns Stumps. Head down and open the gates with your newly-obtained Key.

Another tricky part since you will be assaulted by Blademasters and Stumps from two sides.

Secret: Jump into the water, pick up some Fire Icons. Look at the “Cold imported gin” sign to the right of the huge reservoir. Swim to the area behind that sign and turn left. Climb the ladder, deal with some foes and don’t forget to pick up goodies before jumping down.

Pull the lever which was previously guarded by a Blademaster. Double gates will open revealing an area where you need to go now. Some enemies will charge at you. Destroy them from the safe distance. Arachniclown behind the bars which you’ve seen in the cut scene and Blademaster on the plank to the left won’t charge at you waiting on their places. You can jump into the water to get a cover behind the wooden stage.

As soon as you walk up the slope, some Spawners will appear above you. When you’re ready, open to door to the Arachniclown and kill him if you haven’t done this before. Walk further and you will see a Spawner which will produce Headless. You can just avoid it by quickly running to the mirror ahead.
