Nether Station 1[edit]

KISS Psycho Circus The Nightmare Child 39.png

If you’re tired of narrow spaces infested by Spawners, then these levels are like a breath of fresh air. But they are still quite challenging.

Jumping over lava puddle is hard, so use the Scourge to pull yourself to a hook ahead. A few Stumps will appear, a Ballbuster will shoot at you from afar. Deal with all these foes before proceeding.

Pull yourself to the next hook and go up the girder. A Fat Lady will be waiting for you around the corner, so use Draco or other heavy artillery if you’re not high of health. Before going up the next girder look at exploding barrels up and to the right of the platform you’re on. Destroying them will also kill a Ballbuster ahead before you even see him.

Follow the only path ahead. As soon as you step on a platform, a Spawner will be awaken and start producing Headless. Don’t be distracted by it since the real danger is another Spawner ahead which produces Fire Strutters. Destroy it along with its shooting foes. After that killing the first Spawner will be a piece of cake.

Secret: Go up another girder and look at the platform with dead Ballbuster’s body. You will see a suspicious rectangle on the wall. Jump down on the platform and use that rectangle. There are two Water Tablets inside.

When you climb to the top point, enter a hall ahead. A Spawner to the right will create a whole lot of Headless. You can easily leap on the stairs near that foe and kill it being out of Headless’ reach.

In the next hall a Ballbuster will attack you from above. A Fire Strutter will also try to kill you. No matter what you do, don’t enter the hall until you’re done with these two enemies or you will have to fight a few more dangerous monsters at once.

Enter the hall when you’re ready and fight two Unipsychoes.

Secret: Destroy the barrels and enter the way which appears because of the explosion. Jump over the floor pieces floating in lava until you reach a dead end. Shoot the wall and grab a Blood Rose and a Water Tablet. Backtrack to the hall where the last fight took place.

Go up a slope. Be careful since a Spawner hides right behind one of big bricks. If you haven’t got the previous secret, cross both lava rivers and walk to the left. The secret is on a platform below.

No matter what you do, you don’t need to cross any lava rivers to proceed forward. Go down the slope instead, but be careful since a lot of Headless will appear behind you.

You will find yourself in a big hall with a big piston. Three Gasbags and one Unipsycho will attack you on sight. Other than that, there are no enemies nearby.

Go to the only door which is already open for you. You will need to jump over crates now. Jump on the first one and the second one will fall down from above. This is a hint that you need to look up and shoot the crates above to make them fall down. Climb the ladder and get ready.

You will face three Fire Strutters and a Ballbuster. You can climb down the ladder to get out of the harm’s way. There’s also a small chance that some foe will fall down and get killed by lava but this is not very likely. But if you survive, you will get the next armor piece.

Now the way forward is open and you need to climb another ladder. Ignore the huge piston in front of you. If you try to interact with it, you will get nothing but might lose health. Instead pass a small corridor with flames (time your movement) and up another ladder. Don’t fall into lava!

Jump to the next ladder and face three Spawners and a Fat Lady! You can’t just run past them, you must kill the Fat Lady to open the door. Draco is the best weapon here.

Go through the gate which will close behind you. The second gate will close behind you as well. It’s eerie calm and quiet. You don’t have much choice but to jump down and face an ambush. The most dangerous enemy here is a Unipsycho. Other foes are Headless and Stumps which are not very dangerous but numerous. A few Gasbags will also interfere you, so don’t stay still. You can hide behind a furnace, but that’s not very smart since you will be constantly receiving damage because of heat.

Jump to the bridge behind the gates which were open when you jumped down. Open the grille. You will have to fight three Gasbags while having a lack of space to maneuver. You will also see some demon-looking train which you saw in a cut-scene at the start of the level. Don’t get hit by it or it’s an instant game over. Yes, it’s quite deadly, but you can lure enemies into traffic.

When you appear on the tracks, a Spawner will awaken and two Gasbags will also attack you. The Spawner creates only weak Headless which are too far away from you. Most likely, you will see a Headless or two smashed by the demon-train.

Follow the tracks hiding in niches from the train when needed. Pretty soon you will see a Spawner to the right. There’s a ladder behind it, but it’s not needed yet. Remember this place in case of falling down on burning coals. That's where you can get back up.

Follow the tracks and you will see a Ballbuster ahead. He will distract you drawing your attention from a Unipsycho in a niche to the right. When you deal with the Ballbuster, you will face another Spawner pretty soon. This one is a bit more dangerous than the previous ones since it spawns Stumps.

The path ahead contains three Ballbusters. They are not easy to beat, but then can be lured to be hit by the demon-train. Provoke monsters, run back and hide in a niche.

The last part of the level contains even more enemies, so better lure them into traffic because it’s much easier to kill them and save your ammo this way. After you kill a Strongman, a gate to the next level will open.

Nether Station 2[edit]

KISS Psycho Circus The Nightmare Child 40.png

You begin this level at the station named Vincent after Vinnie Vincent – the Warrior. Pretty quick you will be attacked by some Headless and a Ballbuster.

Secret: Open a ticket booth to get Hawk Eyes.

When you’re done, follow the tracks. This time there is no demon-train that can kill you. But there is a Ballbuster to the left of the tracks who will be constantly shooting at you. As you move down the tracks, you will encounter some Gasbags. Also a few Headless will be spawned behind you, so proceed with caution. When you kill a Headless, another one will appear. While this process might seem annoying at first, the amount of Headless is limited.

The next stop is Criss after Peter Criss – the Catman. It’s guarded by a Ballbuster and a few Headless.

There are two ways from there.

  • Go to the station and down the slope on the right. You will fight a Ballbuster. When you descend, four Fire Strutters will appear behind you.
  • Follow the tracks and jump down. Follow the slope down until it turns into huge stairs.

No matter which route you use, you will find yourself in a ruined station. Follow a short corridor and arrive at the next station.

Frehley station was named after "Ace" Frehley – the Spaceman. This station greets you with a Spawner. Really easy to deal with, but once you move a few more steps, the station will become infested with monsters. Another Spawner will come to life and start making Fire Strutters, also Headless will appear from everywhere and a Unipsycho will be the toughest foe of them all.

Follow the tracks. Again. You will have a choice. Staying on the tracks will result in three Ballbusters spotting you. Using a corridor on the right will make a whole lot of Headless appear behind you. It’s much safer to kill Ballbusters from the tracks while using the crouching trick.

You can use a slope on the left to reach a place where the Ballbuster is/was and gather some Elemental Icons along with two Health Bottles. Just be careful since this will make some Stumps appear behind you.

When you follow the tracks up, another bunch of Headless will appear. A Ballbuster is after them. Try to kill him without getting too close.

When you reach the top part of the tracks, three Gasbags will be spawned.

When you’re done with all these enemies, you will arrive at the Carr station named after Eric Carr – the Fox. Pretty soon a swarm of enemies will attack you. Luckily, they all are just weak Headless.

Secret: Destroy the route map for a Blood Rose and a Rage Orb. This will also make a Fat Lady and another bunch of Headless appear at the station.

There’s only one way now: jump down picking up another Blood Rose on the way. You’re at the Stanley station named after Paul Stanley, the Starchild. There another bunch of Headless will be waiting for you lead by an Arachniclown. Most likely, you will have enough health to survive the fight. Either way, there are three Health Bottles and a Health Flask, making your job easier.

When you go down the tracks, a few Gasbags will appear. There’s also a Ballbuster waiting for you far away for now. You can even take it down without drawing his attention.

Follow the tracks until they go up. You need to jump down from there to land on a narrow ledge near the wall. Cross the lava pool by a big pipe and go up to where the Ballbuster was (where two Health Flasks are) or to the next station (where a Spawner is). A few Gasbags will appear again as well as a big amount of Stumps. That’s why you had to get rid of the Ballbuster before. Get rid of the enemies while listening to God of Thunder.

Simmons station is the end of the line. It was named after Gene Simmons, the Demon. Use the mirror to become one more step closer to victory. Actually, you don’t need to kill anyone, just rush to the mirror and end the level if you feel like it.
