Character select[edit]

Before you start the level, choose one of the characters. You won't be able to switch characters, so choose wisely. This information might help you:

  • All characters have all weapons and armor.
  • The amount of starting ammo of each kind equals 200.
  • There are no items on the last level which could be put into inventory.
  • There’s no difference between the characters except for their melee and super weapons.

Nightmare Realm 1[edit]

This is some psychedelic mishmash made of decorations you’ve seen before during the game. The level can be roughly divided into four parts. You will see each of those parts in a cut scene. Surprisingly, this level is relatively short and easy.

Water Domain[edit]

You start in a pool of blood and gore. There are some Health Bottles under the pool. You don’t need healing now but you might need it later. For now get out of the pool and kill a Ballbuster. You will be attacked by a few Headless.

Destroy a yellow membrane. There will be two Spawners and an Arachniclown ahead. Soon after them is a dead end with a few Gasbags and some Headless appearing somewhere above you. Jump on a constantly moving column on the left and go up. There is another Spawner on the top floor. After killing it go to the button with a clown face and use it to open path ahead.

Earth Domain[edit]

As soon as you step inside, the path behind you will close and you will face a Fat Lady. It’s not the best place to dodge enemies’ attacks, so try to kill her as soon as possible. A few Headless will interfere you, but they should not be the biggest concern you'd have.

You need to jump down. Not to quicksand, but to a platform below. In the next part of the level you will meet a Fire Strutter, a Tickler and a Strongman.

You can rush past all monsters to the door before the stairs disappear, but that requires some skill and reaction. This part is meant to be played like this: pull the lever to the right and run to the door as fast as you can. You are given not a single spare second to do it.

The door will close behind you, so go ahead. You will be ambushed by Gasbags and Stumps in the next room. Even worse, there is a Spawner ahead which produces Stumps and it’s guarded by a Tickler. Follow the winding path to a corridor with three quaint spiked roots.

Secret: At the end of the corridor don’t jump down. Jump on a small platform in a cylindrical tower instead, look left and grab the a damage boost bonus.

Jump down. You will appear in a small room with a Spawner and a Tickler. After you’ve done with them there’s only one way – into a giant clown’s mouth.

Pretty soon you will see a corridor with a Fat Lady at the end of it. Killing her will open path ahead. It’s not so simple since some tiny red dots fly through this corridor from time to time and deal damage.

There’s a Spawner in the next room. After you destroy it, smash the stained glass window or open the door in a small niche to the left.

Air Domain[edit]

Either way, you will find yourself in ruins of a small room. Headless will jump down on you from above as soon as you stand in a specific spot, so move to a narrow ledge ahead.

When you appear on a platform, a Gasbag will attack you. Nothing to be afraid of. Kill it and use the four switches to shut down some electrical device and open the door ahead.

Fire Domain[edit]

When you enter, the door will close behind. A Spawner is directly to the right of you.

You will find yourself near a pool of lava. A Unipsycho is hidden to the right and above. Kill him and use constantly moving block to reach a ladder. The next part is obvious: go up the stairs, pull the lever and ride the block in lava to reach the opposite shore. Be careful since another Unipsycho will attack you from there.

The next part is simple but a bit tricky. A huge Jack In The Box ahead will be constantly throwing regular Jacks In The Box at you. Stepping too close will result in receiving damage, so destroy the stationary Jack In The Box from afar. After it will explode an endless horde of Stumps will charge at you. Don’t try to fight it – it’s pointless. Instead hide behind a column and wait for them to come close and disarm Jacks In The Box if you need to.

When there are no more Jacks In The Box, charge to the end of the level, jump into red liquid and swim forward.

Nightmare Realm 2[edit]

Just like in the beginning of the previous level, you have 250 health, 200 ammo of each type and no items in your inventory. With this arsenal you will have to fight the final boss – the titular character.
