Each weapon has a fixed value for the minimum damage and maximum damage it can inflict; on the long run, what really matters is the average damage that a weapon can inflict. Special versions of the same weapon usually deal more damage; if so, they are noted in the tables below.

A character should be skilled in the use of a weapon in order to effectively use it. Trainers allow to increase the skill level. Not all weapons can be trained to the same level.

In the tables below, the product DxS of average Damage times maximum Skill is an estimate of how good a weapon can be. Each character starts with one or two weapon skills, and he/she can learn up to a total of four: choose wisely which weapon skills should be learned and trained!

Each weapon also has an encumbrance value, i.e. a weight. Heavier weapons are more difficult to carry and use, and the wielder will soon get fatigued is his endurance is low.

Missile weapons[edit]

The following is a list of all missile weapons in the game. These weapons give a tactical advantage: they can hit an enemy from a distance. This way, some enemies can be defeated even before they have a chance to hit the party members.

The elf bow and the long bow cannot be trained from 0. The two crossbows have a major limit: they have to be recharged after every round; therefore, they can shot every second round. For that reason, they would slow down random encounters (provided you have numerical superiority, that means enough arrows for all enemies), but they are an asset during boss battles (where the enemies are always in great numbers).

Every character should get skilled in a bow. Ignore the crossbows.

Quest weapons[edit]

A superior version of these weapons is obtained at the end of some quests in the game. Every character should train in one of these weapons, rather than their starting ones.

All these three weapons are two-handed, i.e. the character cannot wield a shield at the same time.

Other melee weapons[edit]

The following is a list of all the remaining melee weapons in Knights of Legend.

Any character who starts the game with one of these weapons should better get trained with a bow first, and with a quest weapon then, instead of training the starting weapon.

Weapon shops[edit]

When a character is training in a weapon he/she did not start with, he/she should purchase it (weapons highlighted in green). Also, a weapon has to be bought back if it was lost in battle.

Note that every weapon but one can be purchased in Brettle (the starting town). If an elf loses his/her Elf bow, it can be purchased back in Htron.
