Controls

• Joystick: Use the 8-way joystick, to direct your chosen fighter around his (or her) side of the screen; 1P and 2P on left side, 3P and 4P on right side.
• High and Low Attack Buttons: Use this button to make your chosen fighter perform a high or low attack; all six of the fighters have different attacks.
• Jump Button: Use this button to make your chosen fighter jump up into the air; this may be used in conjunction with the High or Low Attack Buttons.
• 1, 2, 3 or 4 Player Buttons: Push these buttons to begin the game as player 1, 2, 3 or 4; if there are less than four players, the remaining characters that are selected will be controlled by the CPU (much like in Exvania, which was released earlier in 1992, and also runs on Namco's NA-1 hardware).

Rob Vincent (United States)

Age: 28 (born 1964), Height: 181 cm or 5ft 11in, Weight: 84kg or 185lb, Special Weapon: Tongfer, Catchphrase: "I am No. 1!".

• Blast Wave: Push your joystick to the left (or right), then either Attack Button, to perform the first of Vincent's four special moves.
• Spiral Cutter: Push the joystick down, then up, then push either Attack Button to perform the second of Vincent's special moves.
• Tornado Slash: Push your joystick right, down, then down-right, then press the High Attack Button, to perform this special move.
• Sliding Kick: Push the joystick down, down-right, then right, then press the Low Attack Button to perform this final special move.

Takeshi Fujioka (Japan)

Age: 25 (born: 1967), Height: 175 cm/5ft 9in, Weight: 75kg/165lb, Special Weapon: Scythe Nunchaku, Catchphrase: "Aku wo kiru!" (悪を斬るっ!). His catchphrase, which means "I kill the evil!", was not translated into English for the US version of the game.

• Taka-Mai Kūretsuzan (鷹舞空裂斬): Push the joystick down, down-right, then right, then press either Attack Button to perform it.
• Shōtakaki (翔鷹斬): Push the joystick down, then up, then press either Attack Button, to perform this second of Fujioka's moves.
• Enzui-Kiri (延髄切り): Push your joystick up, up-right, then right, then press the High Attack Button, to perform this special move.
• Zetsumeiki (絶命斬): Press your Jump Button, then push your joystick to the right and press either Attack Button to perform this.
• Bukyoku Enbu Ya (舞曲演舞殺): Press the Jump Button, then push the joystick down and press either Attack Button to perform.

Blat Vaike (Greece)

Age: 35 (born 1957), Height: 158 cm/5ft 2in, Weight: 70kg/154lb, Special Weapon: Spiked Hammer, Phrase: "Gyahahahaha".

• Anger Beast: Push your joystick to the left (or right), then either Attack Button, to perform the first of Vaike's four special moves.
• Mad Hammer: Push the joystick to the left, then to the right and then push either Attack Button to perform Vaike's second move.
• Rolling Madness: Push the joystick down, down-right, then right and push the Low Attack Button to perform Vaike's third move.
• Earthquake Hammer: Push the joystick up, up-right, then right, then press the High Attack Button, to perform this special move.

Christine Myao (China)

Age: 18 (born 1974), Height: 168 cm/5ft 6in, Weight: 43 kg/95 lb, Special Weapon: Quarterstaff, Catchphrases: "Yeah!", and "Makasete!" (まかせてっ!). Her second catchphrase, which means "I went left!", was again not translated into English for the US.

• Kuì Tóu Gùn (潰頭棍): Push your joystick to the left (or right), then either Attack Button to perform the first of Myao's four moves.
• Chōngjí Lún (衝撃輪): Push the joystick down, then up, then press either Attack Button, to perform the second of Myao's moves.
• Liè Dào Gùn (裂倒棍): Press the High Attack Button while rolling your joystick around, to perform the third of Myao's four moves.
• Bào Gùn Èr Tóu Zú (爆棍二頭足): Push your joystick down, down-right, then right, and push the Low Attack Button to perform it.

Gregory Darrell (Norway)

Age: 39 (born in: 1953), Height: 216 cm/8ft 4in, Weight: 127kg/180lb, Weapon: Double Tomahawk, Catchphrase: "Hahahaha".

• Tidal Wave: Push the joystick down, down-right, then right, then push either Attack Button to perform Darrell's first special move.
• Norman Burst: Push the joystick left, then right, then press down either Attack Button, to perform Darrell's second special move.
• Super Crunch: Push the joystick down, then up, then press down the High Attack Button to perform Darrell's third special move.
• Bastard Head Bad: Push the joystick left (or right), then push on the High Attack Button to perform Darrell's fourth special move.
• Hell Diving Back Breaker: While in throw range, push your joystick to the right twice, then press either Attack Button to perform.

Claudia Silva (Brazil)

Age: 23 (born 1969), Height: 172cm/5ft 8in, Weight: Unknown, Weapon: Orichalcum Claws, Catchphrases: "Come On, Baby!" and "It's My Heart!". The only character in the game whose weights are unknown, and the second of the two female contestants.

• Golgovard Drop: Push the joystick down, down-right, right, up-right and up, then push either Attack Button to perform this move.
• Rio Grande Attack: Push the joystick down and up, then on either Attack Button to perform the second of Silva's special moves.
• Jumping Bat: Push the joystick right, then down, then down-right and press the Low Attack Button to perform Silva's third move.
• Flying Heel Kick: Push the joystick right, down and down-right, then push the High Attack Button to perform Silva's fourth move.
• Crossing Seizure: Push the joystick up, up-right and right, then push the Low Attack Button to perform Silva's last special move.
