The latest in this series of murders took place at Signal Hill last night, and you'll be spending the rainy day working on it. Even on your fourth murder, plus the letter, Rusty still doesn't want to think it's the Dahlia killer.

Crime Scene[edit]

At the scene, the coroner and Pinker both believe there are similarities between this corpse and the others. She has the same blunt force trauma to the head and strangulation, but this time she's clothed. Investigate the scene, and hopefully you'll find a clue you can track down.

Superior Laundry Services[edit]

Head inside and talk to the clerk at the back. He'll bring you a register book and you'll find the victim's information along with the label number you found on the dress. Tap on the line with Mrs. Taraldsen's name on it, a little more than halfway down the first page to get an address you can follow up on.

43 Emerald Street[edit]

When you get to the house, you'll meet the husband and he'll describe what his wife was wearing last night, confirming she's the victim. While the Mr. Taraldsen breaks the bad news to his daughters, you can look the house over.

Keep driving to the new locations as they pop up and eventually you'll run into him and can question him. When you track him down he'll give you a bunch of information on his fare.

Bus Depot[edit]

Like the cab driver, you'll want to check with to see what the driver of the bus Jessop said they took has to say. On the way to the depot you'll hear back on the husband's alibi to find that the card game broke up around midnight, which gave him plenty of time to get downtown. You'll tell the cops to bring him in so he'll be waiting for further questioning when you get back. At the depot, speak with the lady at the counter and you'll get a map of the bus' route. You'll need to drive the route until you catch up with the bus. The route is marked with red on your minimap, so it shouldn't be too hard to follow. When you catch sight of the bus it will be added to the minimap as a red icon and you'll need to get up behind it so it pulls over. When it does, get out and go talk to the driver, who will tell you he let her off near the hobo camp.

Hobo Camp[edit]

Newspaper
On some wooden crates in Ackerman's shack.

Things get serious pretty quickly at the camp, with your partner blasting away with his shotgun. While he's keeping the rest of the bums busy, you'll go toe to toe with the leader, Stuart Ackerman. After the cops take him downtown, take a look around his shack.

Clue Location
Bloodstained rope piece
Shelf next to bed
Purse, Crystal Ballroom ticket
Bench next to bed

With the evidence you find in his shack, Ackerman looks good for the murder, even if you don't see the motive. Head back to the station to interview him.

Central Police Station[edit]

Q: Contact with victim

Q: Alibi for Stuart Ackerman

Although he's clearly nuts, you'll end up charging Ackerman with the murder to close out the case.
