Hello, and welcome to the LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins walkthrough. As soon as you begin the game, a cutscene will play. Chase McCain is a new, rookie police officer. Soon you are introduced to Deputy Dunby and Chief Gleeson. You then get control.
Donut Disaster[edit]
Looks like we have to get donuts for the guys. You'll be outside the police station. Walk foward to the first building you see. Climb up the stairs and talk with the shopkeeper. Step on the badge thingy thing. Looks like the delivery boy didn't pass his driving test and he crashed. Now, follow that police badge on your map to head to your destination. Well, the car's broken. You can take the police car there in the station. Get in it and follow this path. Left, left on the squiggly road almost to the end. Looks like the car is broken.

But it's LEGO, and it can be fixed. Hold 
to build the car.
Get in it and drive back to the donut shop. The guy will be waiting for you. He'll get the shipment. Go up the stairs and receive the shipment. Pick those donuts up! With ! Go back to the police station and put it in the green area. The police officer will put it on a roller and head in. Congratulations, you finished the first quest!

Where's Mr. Waggles?[edit]
Here's the first real job we gotta do. A kid's lost his dog. Head to the kid (follow the main road until you reach the city limit) and soon, we'll see the pain about his gone dog.
Once he's done, go back to the alley and you'll meet.... Sherlock, I mean, Doorlock Holmes!
He'll explain stuff, then stand on the police badge and press . Follow the footprints to lead to a...X! X does mark the spot. Search it with , and you'll find a bone. Hmmm...... Now destroy everything green in here, and, with the pieces, just like the donut car, build it to make it a trampoline. Get on it and hold 
. You'll jump higher and higher and higher. Grab on the pole, use to jump pole to pole.
Keep going until you can't reach it. You'll find another detective spot, so whip out the magnifying glass and.....
A t-shirt? Well, it must from a gang of criminals. Hmmm...... I got it! Or the game has it.
Get in a car and drive to the squiggly road. Drive until you reach a gate surrounded by white walls. This must be the gang's hideout. But, whaddya know? It's locked. Instead go to the building next, the red one and head right to its side. See those blue and white ledges? Jump onto them, and keep jumping until you reach the roof. Head to another police badge on the floor, and open it to be a scanner. Use 
and 
to zoom in and out. Open the audio to hear a dog, howling. Lock on to the source with and then the scanner will confirm it. Leave the scanner.
Hey, look! A zipline! Jump onto it to get in. Pass the pool and head to the blue pole. We can climb up it, so do so. Make your way to the purple stud, worth a whopping 10,000 studs!!! Continue to the dog, press , and:
We found Mr. Waggles! You'll see Chase revealing Mr. Waggles to the boy, and they'll reunite. How touching!
Brick by Brick[edit]
Head back to the police station and head to its roof. Well, a news crew wants to see the police who bravely defend LEGO City. But, the helicopter has nowhere to land, and we need to build a helipad. I hope you've been collecting Super Bricks. If not, the police girl will give you bricks if you need them and use a crazy 0 Super Bricks to build a helipad. And you thought that was expensive. We'll be building things costing 2,000 Super Bricks. (I'll call them SB's) The helicopter will land safely. And they want us to save the day.
On cue, a guy stranded (all by the Knuckles Gang, same people who stole Mr. Waggles) on a crane needs our help. Jump down there and find the magnifying glass. Detective time! Use it to find the controls to lower him. Get them, and place them on the green area. Build it. Lower him down.
He's safe. No time to wait, another guy's in trouble. Head to the park. On the right of the police station. A guy's lawnmower is going ballistic, because of the Knuckles Gang. Don't let him hurt you, you'll die in two.
Head to the red lift and break the bokes near it. There are pieces there to work the lift, build it and head uo the lift. Smash the blue wheelbarrow to make a ledge. Jump on them and head to the cement mixer. I think we're done for now, as a cutscene will play. The guy's safe!
Now that that's done, we'll have to investigate the Knuckles Gang....
