There are many tools in the world of Rock Raiders which do many things.
- Drill: Drills walls.
- Shovel: Digs up rubble.
- Hammer: Reinforces walls.
- Wrench: Repairs buildings. (After you get an upgrade station and train an engineer.)
- Laser beam: Kills monsters and pushes slimy slugs. Effective against rock and ice monsters.
- Pusher beam: Pushes monsters and slimy slugs. Not effective.
- Freezer beam: Freezes monsters and pushes slimy slugs. Effective against lava monsters.
- Sonic blaster: Does nothing to monsters, but scares slimy slugs into their holes. Not effective.
