Cave of mystery[edit]

Maria starts the game with Moja's spear and a wood key. This first cave has the specific purpose of familarize the player with the commands.

Get close to the locked door. Open the menu, select "goods", then select "wood key", and the door will open.

In the next room you can find a chest. Stand on the chest, open the menu, select "look", and Maria will collect all the items in the chest: Twana's lamp, a dagger and a gold key.

Faeries spring of Bath[edit]

You will learn the name of this spring, Bath, near the end of chapter 3.

Faerie 1: "Are you conscious? If we had found you any later, you would have drowned. If you are going on a journey, please search for this kind of spring. Our friends will increase your courage and magnify your dreams."
Faerie 2: "Please write about your journey at each site. When you enter the world of darkness, your last record will help you. Also, gather up hope: your dreams and courage will grow. When you lose your courage, you will become part of the darkness. If you have dreams, many spirits will help you."
Faerie 3: "Might you be someone from the world of humans? If so, be warned: this is the world of dreams. You can no longer return to the ordinary world. "

Town of Bread[edit]

Text Notes
Green boy: "This is the town of Bread." Welcome!
Orange girl: "My grandfather told me that tears can make your dreams greater." This explains some item and terminology in the game.

Violet man: "After passing through the cave of the giants at the southern part of the island and reaching the Werewolves' Territory, drop by Davis, which has mushrooms." After you complete the current quest, the next "town" looks like a lone mushroom.
Violet old lady: "I have not eaten anything for three days. Could you give me some of the bread that makes one brave?"
  • No? "Are you going to abandon me, an old woman? It is the end of the world!"
  • Yes? (0) "You do not have any bread to give to me? Please buy some."

Cave of the Goblin[edit]

This dungeon is located south-west from Bread Town.

At the first fork, go east; there is a chest with 100 Rubies at the dead end. Backtrack and go south-west; there is a chest with a fragment of hope (n.2). Finally, take the north-west fork, where the dungeon boss lurks.

Boss: Goblin[edit]

Goblin: "You want me to return the stardust? If you really want it, steal it from my treasure box!"

At this early stage, Twana's spirit is more useful: his spells deal more damage than Moja's spirit. The Goblin will go down rather quickly.

After defeating the goblin, follow the tunnel, and at the end Maria will find a chest with the Stardust.

Cave of the giants[edit]

This dungeon is located south from Bread Town, west from the faeries spring.

At the fork, go south first; there is a chest with a fragment of hope (n.3). Then, continue east and do as the old man says. After the passage is opened, continue to the exit.

The old man in blue says:
  • (before retrieving the stardust): "The giant's statue wards off evil, but a goblin took the stardust from the dais in the cave. Since then, the cave has been closed."
  • (after retrieving the stardust): "When the stardust is returned to the dais, a closed path will open."
  • (after using the stardust): "Thanks to you, we are able to go through now. Let us go to Davis!"
When the stardust was restored to the dais, the entire cave was filled with light, and the Giant's statue began to speak: "You who lit the fire on the dais should walk down the path which has opened. I will protect the town from evil once again."
