Level 21: All the 6's...[edit]

This level can be completed with 100% lemmings saved

This one is fairly straightforward, especially since you have 66 of everything (as befits the name). Have the first lemming bash through the right side of the first 6, then have the second lemming block behind him. When he breaks through the wall, have him build up to the second 6, then bash into it. Repeat for the third 6. As soon as the way to the exit is open, release the blocker (by undermining him if you want 100%.

Trivia[edit]

  • The level name comes from the bingo call for 66.
  • The level design is in the form of 666, which is supposedly the "number of the beast" but is actually a dig at Nero (or Neron as he is sometimes spelled), who was Emperor of Rome at the time the Book of Revelation was written. If you write "Neron Caesar" in Hebrew and interpret the result as a Hebrew numeral, it comes to 666. If instead you write "Nero Caesar", it comes to 616.

Level 21: Ohayo Lemming San! (SNES version only)[edit]

This level (probably due to Nintendo's censorship policies) replaces "All the 6's..." in the SNES version. Its name (but not design) is similar to that of "Konbanwa Lemming san"; it is Japanese for "Good morning Mr. Lemming!"

Level 22: Turn around young lemmings![edit]

  • 5 minutes, 90% of 80 lemmings, release rate 88

Choose a spot, and bomb the first and second (first and fourth in Lemmings for Windows) lemmings as they pass that point. If the result is a single deep hole, rather than a double hole of which the right half is deeper than the left, build a ramp out of the resulting pit, so the turning lemmings can climb out to the exit. However, with luck the ramp may not be needed.

Level 23: From the boundary line[edit]

  • 5 minutes, 60% of 80 lemmings, release rate 99

I don't think this level is possible in Lemmings For Windows; no matter how diligently I apply techniques revealed in other walkthroughs, the best I can manage is 46 lemmings home — two short. If you know differently, feel free to edit this section...

Reply: After endless attempts I managed to complete it on Windows. The trick is to slow down a little the lemmings by using all the remaining parachutes when they enter the screen. Timing is crucial, as you have to spot the right moment to begin applying the parachutes. Not too early, not too late. Is also possible to save the one digging with the pick by changing the tunnel position in a way that it ends slightly lower than the ground, but just above the wooden steps. Even knowing it, this solution is extremely difficult to achieve.

If you use two bashers working simultaneously, you can get through the wall fast enough to save 60%.

Level 24: Tightrope City[edit]

  • 2 minutes, 94% of 80 lemmings, release rate 85

As soon as the first lemming lands, make him a blocker. When the lemmings have almost reached the other end of the platform, block the second one from the right, then build to the exit (this will take two builders). Finally, build over the righthand blocker (the ground is too thin for him to be removed by being bombed).

Level 25: Cascade[edit]

This level can be completed with 100% lemmings saved
  • 5 minutes, 13% of 80 lemmings, release rate 99

Turn two of the first lemmings out into floaters, then when all or most lemmings are out, expend your 8 remaining floaters.

The first floater digs a pit in the column at the top of the staircase; the second skips over this pit and builds to the solid column, then bashes through it (while he's doing this, turn the digger into a builder so the pit doesn't get too deep). Finally, have him build from the other side of the column, then build out of the pit.

It is possible to save 100% even on this level.
