Movement is done with the NSEW abbreviations of the four cardinal directions.

Press C to enter a castle, V to enter a village, M to get back to the mainland (from combat, too).

Press F1F3F5F7 to see the attributes and inventory of each character.

  • Legend:
    • n.: the order commands are listed in the manual; it was alphabetical in the original version.
    • Original/localized command: the two letters to press are highlighted.
    • Target: default sorting of the table.
    • Notes: additional information about each command. The most important commands are highlighted in green; sort by this column to see them at the top.

3 ALlumer LIght Item (torch) BUGGED! No room requires the use of torches.
5 BOire DRink Item Drinkable items can raise or lower life points.
9 DOnner Give Item to Character Pass items between characters.
15 MAnger EAt Item Eatable items will always raise life points.
19 POser LAy Item 4. One of the two most important commands to solve puzzles.
27 VEndre SEll Item 5. Sell loot found in dungeons. This is the only way to earn money, necessary to buy a boat and reach the final castle.

17 Nourrir Feed Character Give 1 portion of food to another character.
22 SOigner Cure Character Clerics only. Give 1 life point to another character.
BUGGED! At higher experience levels, the cleric cures less life points than he/she sacrifices.

1 ABsorber ABsorb Number of food Food points are turned into life points.
26 TRoquer BArter Number of food Purchase food (NOTE: purchase medicine is 8 times more convenient!).

2 ACheter BUy M/Object (in town) Medicine and boat are the only two objects worth purchasing. The rest are bugged and useless.
29 VOler STeal M/Object (in town) Unnecessary, unless you wasted money.

21 Questionner ASk Monster/townsfolk 1. The most important command in any adventure game. It works (and it must be used) in villages, too.
14 Lire Read M/Object 2. As important as the "Ask" command, but used less often. It works in villages, too.
6 BRiser BReak M/Object Same as "Open".
7 Chasser HUnt M/Object It works in one castle only (this one).
8 DEsactiver DIsarm M/Object Many objects in castles are trapped and would hurt the character who tries to interact with them.
13 Inspecter Inspect M/Object Useless! Try and disarm any suspicious object without penalty.
18 Oovrir Open M/Object with Item (key) It works the same with or without a key. Same as "Break".
20 PRendre TAke M/Object 3. One of the two most important commands to solve puzzles.

4 ATtaquer ATtack Monster with Item (weapon) It works the same with or without a weapon.
10 ENvouter SPell Monster with Item (wand) It works the same with or without a weapon.
25 TIrer SHoot Monster with Item (bow) It works the same with or without a weapon.
12 Hypnotiser HYpnotize Monster Wizards only. The wizard spends 10 life points and stuns an enemy for a few seconds.
16 MEtamorphoser PEtrify Monster Wizards only. The wizard spends 10 life points and attempts to defeat the enemy.
23 STatuifier PAralyse Monster Wizards only. The wizard spends 10 life points and attempts to defeat the enemy.

11 EXplorer EXplore Direction Useful to play in solo mode. It works in villages, too.
24 TEleporter TEleport Direction Wizards only. The wizard spends 10 life points and attempts to move through a wall or closed door.
28 VIsualiser LOok Direction Wizards only. The wizard spends 10 life points and attempts to see an adjacent room.
