Bowser Jr. Breakdown[edit]

In Bowser Jr. Breakdown, you face against Bowser's dastardly son, Bowser Jr.! Each player takes turns rolling a dice block with 1-6 on it to fill the gauge. The turn order is random (Free Play only, in Party or Solo Mode, the current captain goes first). The order continues to the player on the right.

If you or your rivals fill the gauge to a blue dot, the next player will get to try. If you or your rivals fill the gauge to a star-shaped point, you get to score points on Bowser Jr, depending on the number shown on the star. After someone scores points on Bowser Jr., the gauge will reset back to the start.

The gauge can only fill up to 15 points--if you get a number higher than the one needed to fill the gauge to the 15-point star, you automatically earn that many points.

If you fill the gauge to the Bowser Jr. point right before the 15-point star, Bowser Jr. will roll a dice block consisting of number 1-2. Whatever he rolls is the amount of points you'll lose in the process, which can be an unlucky spot. But that's not it--as if you weren't unlucky enough, the next player will automatically get 15 points by filling the gauge to the 15-point star regardless of roll.

Once you drain half of Bowser Jr's health, he'll go in a frenzy. He'll add two more Bowser Jr. points to the gauge, making it more difficult to protect your points. Worse, if you do land on them this time around, Bowser Jr. will roll not one, but two dice blocks--once they are rolled, the numbers on the dice blocks will be added up, and you'll lose that many points.

There's no real strategy here, since this boss battle is all about luck. You never know which number you'll roll, so hope that you can walk away with the victory.

Bowser's Block Battle[edit]

This boss battle features you and your rivals facing against Bowser himself! Let's explain the rules:

At the beginning of the battle, Bowser will throw in 10 dice blocks; each one has you and your rivals faces, and two Bowser faces. If your face shows up on a dice block, then when the time is up, you'll score some points! Each player will try to throw the dice blocks to try to make them land on their faces. But you can't let them; if you see one of your opponents faces on a dice block, throw that one into the arena. Of course, your opponents will do the same.

After 10 seconds has passed by, everyone's points are added up. After this, Bowser will suck up any dice blocks that have his face on, and turn them into rows of fireballs that he'll spit out. Collide into these, and you'll lose a point--be careful! After doing this, he'll throw 10 more dice blocks into the arena, and the cycle repeats.

Once you've drained half of Bowser's health, he'll be madder than a hornet. Now there are several changes to the battle. They are: when you and your rivals are throwing the dice blocks, Bowser will tilt the board to make it more difficult; Bowser's fireballs are larger than before; and probably the most notable of them all, after Bowser spits out all his fireballs, he'll roll his own dice block that contains all the Stage Bosses in the game (including himself!). The effects depend on what Bowser rolls, but they all have obstacles, and they all cause you to lose a point if touched:

  • Wiggler - Wiggler will walk across the arena, and any player who gets in his way will suffer a point loss.
  • King Bob-omb - King Bob-omb will land in the arena and throw a barrage of Bob-ombs at the players.
  • King Boo - King Boo will magically appear and throw two circles of Boos around the arena, each going a different direction.
  • Blooper - Blooper will appear in the arena and throw a barrage of Urchins at the players.
  • Chain Chomp - Chain Chomp will drop into the arena and rampage across the stage.
  • Bowser - Bowser will simply spit out a barrage of fireballs.

This is another luck mini-game, though not as luck-based as Bowser Jr. Breakdown. But it's STILL luck-based. Good luck!
