Once your (or both) Mega Blast have reappeared on the screen, they shall start moving upwards as two groups of five Type 7 enemies fly towards them from the right side of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, the fifth and tenth ones will leave two blue device packs behind. Once you've collected them, a group of eight Type 1 enemies shall fly into view from the right side of the screen while firing projectiles at you - and once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, the eighth one will leave a third blue device pack behind. Once you have collected it, a group of six Type 4 enemies will fly into view from the right side of the screen while firing homing missiles (which can't be blocked, and must be avoided) at you; once you have fired a shot at each of the Type 4 enemies to kill them the sixth one will leave a red device pack behind. Once you've collected it, both Mega Blast will stop moving as the round's mini-boss, which is an enormous Sinclair C5, flies into view from the right side of the screen then starts hovering up and down while firing beams and ring-lasers at you - and once you've fired enough shots at it to defeat it, it will explode and fall off the bottom of the screen.
Your (or both) Mega Blast will then start moving downwards again as a group of six Type 8 enemies flies towards them from the right side of the screen while firing projectiles at them; once you have fired enough shots at each of these to destroy their barriers and kill them, the sixth one will leave a green device pack behind. Once you have collected it, two groups of four Type 5 enemies will fly down and up into view from the top and bottom of the screen while firing beams at you - and once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them two groups of six Type 2 enemies will come flying towards you from the right side of the screen. Once you've fired a shot at each of these to kill them, another group of eight more Type 1 enemies will fly towards you from the right side of the screen while firing projectiles at you; once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them the sixteenth one will leave another green device pack behind. Once you have collected it, another group of eight more Type 8 enemies will fly towards you from the right side of the screen while firing projectiles at you - and once you've fired enough shots at each of them to destroy their shields and kill them, the fourteenth one will leave a fourth blue device pack behind. Once you've collected it, a third group of five more Type 1 enemies will fly towards you from the right side of the screen, while firing projectiles at you; once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, the twenty-first one will leave a fifth blue device pack behind. Once you have collected it, two more groups of three more Type 4 enemies shall fly into view from the right side of the screen while firing homing missiles (which again cannot be blocked and must be avoided) at you - and once you have fired a shot at each of the Type 4 enemies to kill them, your (or both) Mega Blast will undergo another considerable increase in speed (which means that another boss fight is coming) as the following text appears on the screen:
The two halves of "Lovelorn" (filename: Sea Urchin) will then come down (and up) into view from the top (and bottom) of the screen; they attack by firing their spines at you (which, once again, cannot be blocked and must be avoided) and coming together when you are directly between them in an attempt to crush you (assuming you moved up or down to get out of their way in time) before separating again, and once you have fired enough shots at both of them to defeat it (they take damage together), they shall explode and fall off the bottom of the screen. Your (or both) Mega Blast will then fly off the right side of the screen, as the text of "ROUND 2 OVER. NICE PLAY! GO TO NEXT ROUND" appears on the screen - and you will then proceed to Round 3.
