Hard Mode and Easy Mode

After the ending credits, Middy unlocks Hard Mode.

• "Congratulations! You have cleared this game. Let me give you a tip as a reward for your efforts. Hard Mode is now available! New stages and bosses are waiting for you to challenge! You can start a game with the same equipment when you've cleared the game. So you'll be prepared even when strong enemies attack you! Make sure you remember to save your data now! Good luck!"

Actually, it is a real Hard Mode only if you start a new game from the main menu. Instead, if you save the cleared game and continue, actually this "Normal Mode Continued" will be an Easy Mode, because of all the equipment you start with.

The plot continues!

"The Mother Computer, which was restored, is now not working again. We found illegal access record in the Mother Computer: someone must have accessed the data secretly. That person has been reproducing the fighting data of the past. In order to fix the Mother Computer we will need to fight our enemies again in their data form..." In both Hard Mode and "Easy Mode" the plot continues, instead of restarting! Zain and Techno have been defeated, but Geemel and Sigma have escaped only: now you have to battle against them! Hard Mode: 1 Sub-Tank only; 3 Heart-Tanks only; Easy Mode: 4 Sub-Tanks instead of 2; 8 special weapons instead of 4; 8 Heart-Tanks instead of of 4; 4 new Zero Scramble programs; You start the game with everything from Normal Mode (2 Sub-Tanks, 4 Special Weapons, 4 X Upgrades).

Vava stage revisited

This stage is actually identical to the very first stage. If you are in Easy Mode, you can use all the special weapons. Use the Shouryuken against the hornet sub-bosses, then switch to the Storm Tornado. Vava is weak against the Hadou-ken and Shouryu-ken.
