Storm Eagle should be the first Maverick to defeat, because he is not weak against any Special Weapon.
Walkthrough[edit]
Sub-Tank[edit]
From the start of the stage, jump on the lifts. At the top of the second conveyour belt, dash-jump to the left. Continue to the left to get the Sub-Tank.
Jump down from the platform, ascend again to the top of the conveyor belts, then continue to the right to the first save point.
Heart[edit]
Destroy the green cannon on the moving platform, then use the platform to rise up. Jump behind the glasses of the tower on the left. The Heart is not visible, but it is there.
Jump down from the left of the tower, then continue to the right. Destroy the green cannons and jump on the platforms to continue.
Head Upgrade[edit]
When you have to climb over a steel pillar, jump down on the opposite side. You need a precise dash-jump to get to a high platform to the right. Destroy the fuel tanks and continue to find Dr. Light's Capsule. You will receive the Head Upgrade.
- "This Head Upgrade will give you the ability of the Head Crush and allow you to crush certain blocks... Don't hold back! Crush them all!"
The Head Upgrade is used to get the Arm Upgrade in a later stage.
Back on the main track, there is an area full of Mettaurs and Flyers that is good to fill the Sub-Tank. When you're done, continue to the right until you get to the gate of the Boss area.
Maverick: Storm Eagle[edit]
Storm Eagle is weak against the Spin Wheel, a special weapon that is only available in Extreme Mode. Therefore, fight him using the X-Buster.
Storm Eagle's attacks:
- Storm Tornado
- Wing Storm
- Egg
- Lash
The weapon obtained from Storm Eagle is the Storm Tornado. It is one of the most useful weapons in the game.
