Select controller:You have sprung a trap set by the enemy at Catarata de la Muerte. Peace Sentinel are in possession of at least one Soviet Mi-24A or Hind, escorted by highly-armed infantry. They are on a search-and-destroy mission and you are the target. Before you can get to Dr. Strangelove's laboratory at the ruins, you need to deal with the chopper unit.
- Eliminate the Hind and its Escorts.
Mission Prep (no casualties)[edit]
To capture the Hind and all the soldiers, you will need to remain in perfect stealth for the duration of the battle. As usual, you need to bring a minimum number of weapons to keep your Camo Index high. You should bring Tiger Stripe or Jungle Fatigues. You will need a weapon to neutralize the Captain, so bring the ★2 Mk.22 or the ★1 Mosin Nagant. You will also need the ★1 Smoke Grenades to immobilize, approach, neutralize, and extract the Escort teams. Bring the ★2 Surround Indicator as your top item and the ★2 Fulton Recovery System for extractions. If you have them, the ★1 Night Vision Goggles could be useful if you're comfortable with quickly swapping items.
Capture the Mi-24A And All of its Escorts[edit]
Unlike the T-72U, the Escorts deployed by the Mi-24A will stay together, allowing you to immobilize them all with a Smoke Grenade and neutralize them with Consecutive CQC. When the escorts drop down from the Hind, they will take off running, so you need to anticipate their LZ and toss a grenade there before the enemy starts hitting the ground. After that, you can approach their LZ in the smoke and neutralize them with Consecutive CQC.
With a ★2 Surround Indicator, you will be able to know exactly where the Escorts are relative to your position while within the smoke, so keep it equipped until all four Escorts are neutralized. When they're all neutralized, throw another smoke grenade at your feet and hold 
until the Smoke Grenade pops. Be aware that if you get close to the Hind while it's low to the ground, the air from the rotor can briefly stun you, so consider allowing it to lift off before making your approach. Luckily, the air from the rotor will not disperse the smoke. Use the smoke as cover while you extract the neutralized Escorts and escape back under the canopy.
If one of the Escorts manages to escape the cloud of smoke and you can't account for him or if the Escort team are allowed to get sufficient distance from one another after deploying from the helicopter, you have failed to complete this mission with an S-Rank and you need to restart the mission.
If during the CQC sequence one of the Escorts sees you with a red Exclamation point, don't panic yet. Try pausing-unpausing a few times, then waiting on the Pause Screen. If the Alert music continues and/or Miller yells at you for getting spotted, then you should Restart. If the Alert music fades back into the normal music, then proceed with the mission.
After extracting two team of four, you need to replenish your stock of Fulton balloons. It is impossible to capture all of the Escorts with the Fulton Recovery System alone. In this case, there are two pickups in Catarata de la Muerte that will restore your Fulton System by 5. One is near the northwest exit and the other is east of your starting point. You will need to neutralize and extract a total of twenty soldiers. A ★2 Fulton Recovery System will allow you to extract ten, while each Fulton System pickup on Catarata de la Muerte will allow you to extract five each for a total of twenty Escorts. As usual with Vehicle Battles, the Captain will also be extracted regardless of your Fulton stock.
When all Escorts are eliminated, the Captain will show himself. He'll poke out of the cockpit on the left of the chopper (right side when you're facing it), at which point he will be vulnerable to shots from the ★2 Mk.22 or ★1 Mosin Nagant. He is wearing a helmet, so you will need to shoot it off. Even if he doesn't discover you, he will fly the chopper around making for a difficult head-shot to say the least. Once his Psyche is drained, the Hind will gently come down onto the cliff for MSF to capture.
Completion[edit]
Completing this mission - whether you eliminated the Hind and its escorts or captured them - will yield the following:
- Sneaking Suit - this will likely be the only uniform you wear on missions going forward
- FIM-92 design specs - begin development on this immediately even if you need to cancel other projects to get enough GMP
Miller will suggest a new method to Recruit soldiers, which will be unlocked on the Mother Base interface.
