Area B-6
Area B-6

For its fourth mission, Metal Hawk will start out directly over the mouth of the river running through the area; once the area's theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 (which is not identical to that of H-3, E-4, and K-5), the familiar arrow will appear in the centre of the screen and point you along that aforementioned river, while a Japanese speech sample is heard of the C140. Push the lever up to descend to 200 metres as you come to the giant plane - it has six Type 7 Cannons firing anti-aircraft missiles at you on its wings, and two Type 4 Cannons firing anti-aircraft missiles at you on its nose (which you can drop a missile of your own on them for 10 points apiece). Once you have dropped a missile on each of them to kill them, the plane will launch four Red Heli and four Green Heli into the air (flying towards you once they reach your altitude, and can be shot for 10 points apiece); once you've fired off a shot at each of them to kill them start dropping missiles upon the various parts of the plane to destroy them for 4-20 points apiece (the core, however, is worth 200 points). Once you've scored 600 points, the "stage clear" theme will be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 for the fourth time as Metal Hawk flies back up to its highest altitude of 400 metres and off the top of the screen - and the song you will hear from it when the game returns to that map screen will also be a different one. You'll then receive 10 bonus points, for every second you have remaining, and the highest military ranking you can attain by this point is that of a Colonel; but Metal Hawk will go on to proceed to Area F-7: Tank Buster.
