Once the background has reappeared behind Mirai Ninja, the stage title has appeared on the screen, and the stage's theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, start running to the right until you come to an elevator; you can either run into it and be taken four floors upwards or jump over it and continue running to the right. If you ran into the elevator, you will have the chance to collect a Waza (green) powerup as soon as you get out, and throw three shurikens at once for a short period of time - and once you have done it for the four Karasu Tengu that are flying towards you to kill them, you can either drop down the gap in the platform to land on the floor below, or jump over it and continue running to the right. If you dropped down that gap in the platform, you must continue to the right until you come to another elevator; you can either run into it and be taken five floors downwards, or jump over it and continue running to the right. If you'd ran into the elevator, you must continue running to the right when you come out until you come to a gap in the platform with a Zaku swinging its mace around at you on the other side - and once you have thrown enough shurikens across the gap in the platform at him to kill him, you will have to drop down the gap in the platform to land on the floor below and throw a shuriken at each of the five Hanzou Hattori that are running towards you to kill them, before collecting an Inori (gray) powerup, to shrink all enemies currently on screen and immediately beyond. Once you have done so, you will come to a third elevator; you can either run into it and be taken four floors upwards or jump over it in order to collect another Waza (green) powerup before going back to it. You'll have the opportunity to collect a Chikara (yellow) powerup as soon as you get out, and gain some extra energy, but it will cancel out the effects of the Waza (green) powerup you have just collected - and you'll then have to throw a shuriken at each of the six Sasuke that are running towards you to kill them, before collecting a second Inori (gray) powerup if you want to shrink six more Sasuke that are running towards you. Once you have slashed them all with your sword at close range to kill them, you must drop off the edge of the platform to land on the floor below; once you've landed, you have to throw a shuriken at each of the five additional Karasu Tengu that are flying towards you to kill them. A Domu will now come running towards you from behind - and once you've turned back to the left and thrown enough shurikens at him to kill him you will have the opportunity to collect a third Inori (gray) powerup as you come to a gap in the platform with a shrunken Zaku swinging his mace around at you on the other side. Once you have thrown enough shurikens across the gap in the platform at him to kill him you must drop down the gap in the platform in order to collect another Chikara (yellow) powerup and gain some extra energy, before landing on the floor below; once you have landed, you will see that you're on the other side of a gap in the platform with a normal-sized Zaku swinging his mace around in front of you. Once you have thrown enough shurikens at him to kill him, you must drop down the gap in the platform to land on the floor below, and come to three Tourou that are hovering in place above the platform - and this point is where all the paths that may be taken through this stage will eventually lead to. Once you've thrown a shuriken at each of the Tourou or slashed them with your sword at close range to kill them, continue running to the right until you come to a fourth elevator that will take you upwards to the roof of its building; that hologrammatical image of the Evil Master Shikinami Kurosagi will appear in the background just before you reach the top (and again, this means that it is time for a boss battle). Once you've reached the top, the "boss" theme will start to be heard from that Yamaha YM-2151 as Oda Nobunaga appears on the right side of the roof, then starts walking towards Mirai Ninja - and the best way to attack him is to run all the way to the left side of the roof and continuously throw shurikens at him. However, if you let Nobunaga get close enough to Mirai Ninja he will first throw his double-edged blade at him; you must crouch down to avoid being hit by it, as it will return to Nobunaga like a boomerang. He will then try to jump on Mirai Ninja - and you must run under him to the right side of the roof as he is doing so, before turning round and throwing more shurikens at him. He will now start making his way towards Mirai Ninja again, repeating his attack process once he gets close enough to him; once you have thrown enough shurikens at Nobunaga to defeat him he will explode and the "stage clear" theme will again be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 as Mirai Ninja runs off the right side of the screen and proceeds to the third stage (which, like the first one, is very straightforward). Also, if Mirai Ninja happened to be standing on the right side of the roof, he will run off the edge of the roof and through the air - so he is the first human Namco protagonist to defy gravity.
