Strategy[edit]

Echoing the previous female party members, Kumatora's role is a PSI-based character that typically uses her PSI attacks to deal damage, along with some debuffs and limited healing abilities compared to Lucas.

Her offensive PSI attacks are much more versatile than Lucas' costly PK Love, having different uses. PK Thunder can easily get rid of Shields, PK Fire useful for dealing with larger groups, and PK Freeze being useful for single-target damage. Near the end of the middle section of the game, you'll obtain PK Starstorm, allowing you to have a second option to deal with groups of stronger enemies while Lucas can hold back from using PK Love to instead use his support abilities. While you might not reach level 60 until the very last segments of the game, PK Ground's damage is still incredibly potent, and the tripping it can cause is technically not a status effect, allowing you to disable bosses for a fairly long length of time. If you are having trouble with bosses near the end of the game, there is no shortage of respawning enemies around, allowing you to try and grind to level up to level 60 to obtain PK Ground.

Kumatora's non-damaging abilities have differing uses depending on the situation. Offense/Defense down are very useful, and can be use in tandem with Duster's thief tools lower stats quickly before resorting to damage. The status effects are usually very enemy dependent. Kumatora only has the weaker versions of Lifeup and Healing, meaning that you should prefer using Lucas or Boney (with items) as your healer unless you need to quickly heal a fatally wounded party member, or to get rid of a status effect on the latter members.
