All this world focuses on puzzles and plot events, and several areas are completely free from monsters. In this world, the plot advances with days and night. Because all inhabitants are children, days have childish names, instead the usual Anglo/Saxon gods (Mona, Tues, Wodin, Thor, Frei, etc.).

The door to Children World[edit]

MysticArk Door3.png

On the shrine island, go to the same windmill where you found the switch to open the kitchen door. On the upper floor, use the Ark of Light on the music box, then wind the handle and touch the box.

Day one, or Picnic Day[edit]

Town of Blind Alley[edit]

Several puzzles to be solved here:

  1. Find four books to unlock the basement gate;
  2. Use the deck brush (or Meisia's staff or climb three times) to retrieve Cynthia's hat;
  3. Find the kid playing hide and seek;

As soon as you leave Blind Alley, you can also go back to Fruit World and find out that Grape Town grew up: there are a few free items you can find in there.

  • Trivia: Vince and Katabanch are characters from Brain Lord, the previous title in this series.

There is a synthesis urn near the entrance to this world. If you put in it a benjamin leaf, a ventura seed and a monster seed, you will get an Mana Jar (it restores all MP); later in this world, you will read that adding a topaz to the three before, you will get a Mana Bottle (it restores all MP & HP). In order to get the mana item from the urn, you have to put in the ingredients, then leave the world and come back. Anyway, you can use the syntheis urn only once.

Ingredient Locations
Benjamin leaves Any number can be found in Blind Alley (you can have just one at a time);
Ventura seeds Any number can be found in the Kidsdom basement (you can have just one at a time);
Monster seeds Ch.3: given to you by Apricot in Kidsdom
Ch.3: in a fireplace in Kidsdom
Topaz Ch.1: in Matoya's lighthouse
Ch.2: Beetle forest
Ch.3: chest in Soda hole

Kidsdom Manor[edit]

Kidsdom Manor is located south-west of Blind Alley. There are no monsters on the overworld.

Talk to all the kids in Kidsdom, then go to sleep. The next day you will follow some kids who sneaked to Candy Mountain.

Day two, or Candy Day[edit]

Candy Mountain[edit]

As soon as you get to the foot of Candy Mountain, you will meet three kids. Furthermore, the guardians ask you a password to access the mountain; such password is written on the back of the board in the entrance room of Kidsdom Mansion.

The dungeon features a good mix of battles and puzzles. No boss at the end.

Three monsters on Candy Mountain can be exchanged for useful equipment after you turned them into figurines: the Troll, the Elemental and the Gobs. Pity the game sprites stay the same regardless the equipment: a flaming shield, a hairy armor and a giant tick helm...

In the first puzzle room, you can choose one of four prizes. The only unique item, not found anywhere else in the game, is a weapon for Lux.

In the room of the four puzzles, a plate reads which fourth ingredient should be added to the synthesis urn in the #Town of Blind Alley in order to upgrade the resulting potion: a topaz.

In the room of the six chests, there is a trick. If you open a chest on one side, then fight a battle, the monsters will steal the contents of the corresponding chest on the opposite side. In order to get a better chance, you should, then, wait next to a chest, fight a battle, then open the chest and rush to the opposite one. Each pair of opposing chests has the same contents: two Wisdom Seeds, two Frost Beads, two Wizard's Mirrors.

Kidsdom library[edit]

Some books require candies to be opened. Each one of these books offer a service.

  • 2C: Journey book (teleport)
  • 2C: Trader Jack's book
  • 4C: Stonemason's book
  • 4C: Blacksmith's book

One book asks you for a Sapphire: you will find it for sure on #Day four, or Toy Day, just following the plot.

Day three, or Inside-Play Day[edit]

MysticArk Enemy3-140.png

On this day there is no dungeon to explore. Therefore, new enemies spread all over the once peaceful overworld. Turn a Firefly into a figurine, then exchange it for a grappler weapon.

Heart and figurine[edit]

Talk to Regina in the garden of Kidsdom. Exchange five candies for the heart. Talk to her again and learn where the corresponding figurine should be.

After you restore the playground to the manor, talk to Apricot and exchange two candies for a monster seed: it's one of the four ingredients for the synthesis urn.

Return to Grape Town[edit]

While you are back to the Shrine Island, go back to the Fruit World: you will find that Grape Town grew. It features a few shops now.

Weapon shop Armor shop Item shop
N/A Armor Price Def. Item Price
Mandarin shell (Grappler/Ogre) (solve puzzle) 15 Torch 120
Flame pot 120
Firecracker 330
Ice rock 140
Mana perfume 300

Day four, or Toy Day[edit]

Cedar Woods[edit]

Some kids decided to disobey, and left the manor to see the Water Hydra. Talk to all the kids and follow the plot to learn the path through the Cedar Woods.

Once you make your way through the Cedar Woods, a gate keeper asks for a password. The kids who could not answer it went to Blind Alley: that's your next destination. After you spoke with them, head back to Kidsdom manor and check all the three fireplaces; you can find a sapphire (give it to a book in the library), a monster seed (for the synthesis urn), and the password for Soda Hole.

Soda Hole[edit]

The power of the Goddess' crystal is not working in this dungeon. The dungeon consists of five areas, followed by the boss room. There are many side paths and side rooms throughout the Soda Hole.

Soon you can find a small room with three chests: the central one holds a Grappler weapon, the rightmost one a mana spray, the leftmost is the less valuable of all.

In another side room, a plaque suggests to loiter around. Indeed, there is a hidden switch on a random floor tile: if you step on it, a chest with a topaz will appear. Remember that the topaz is one ingredient for the synthesis urn.

BOSS: Water Hydra[edit]

MysticArk Boss3-01.png

Easy fight, use all the battle items you found so far.

Kidsdom basement[edit]

First of all, go to Cecille's room and get a Magic Staff for Meisia. Neen will also give you the Brass key to access the basement.

Elnard 0484 Brain.png

Turn as many Undead Hearts as possible into figurines: they can be traded for Guard Figurines/seeds, but the monsters will disappear as soon as you beat the dungeon boss.

  • Floor -1: There are four doors here. The fouth one is locked. The third one has a save point. The first one has a little puzzle: read the book, sit on the lower-right seat at the table, examine there, then open the drawer for a little prize. In the third room, you have to take the cutlery following etiquette and put it in the corresponding pots; that is, in any good restaurant there are several forks and knives around your plate, and you have to use hem starting from the most external one.[1] When you put all the cutlery in the pot, a stairway will appear.
  • Floor -2: The mimics are harmless. One of them holds a Chrome plate for Lux, another one fully heals your party; you can also find an Empty bottle and a Herb cookie. Start by going to the left and continue until you get to the stairway.
  • Floor -3: Find the seven differences between the two rooms. In the second room there are six objects, the seventh one is the entrance. Follow the corridors. In the room with four doors, the right one is the second from the right. In the next corridor, drink the water to replenish MP (cast heal spells to replenish HP, then replenish MP again) and save at the statue. The room at the end has no doors, the switch is near the lower-right corner.
  • Floor -4: There are seven mimics and one real chest: the one that doesn't move, in the lower-right corner. It holds a Scimitar for Tokio. Examine the cupboard and ring the bell to proceed.
  • Floor -5: The right stairway out is the third-one on the right from the top.
  • Floor -6: The pot of puzzles will give you endless puzzles without prizes. The last door leads to the boss.

BOSS: Chimera[edit]

MysticArk Boss3-02.png
MysticArk Boss3-03.png

Battle in three parts: first, you'll fight a Minotaur, then two Minotaurs at once; after that, Cecille will heal you and finally the battle against Chimera will start.

Aftermath[edit]

All the doors are open now. You can find the Ark of Wisdom in the room next to Cecile's. Infuse it into a figurine: it will come to life with a bonus to magic and speed (the Ark of Power gives a bonus to strength and guard).

Return to Blind Alley and put the four ingredients in the Synthesis Urn: a benjamin leaf, a ventura seed, a monster seed and a topaz. Leave this world and come back. Put the contents of the urn into an empty bottle to obtain a Mana Bottle.

  1. That means you sould take forks from the leftmost one and knives from the rightmost one. Obviously, forks are on the left of your plate and knives on the right.
