Negima!? Neo Pactio Fight is a 3D fighter, where 10 of the main characters from Negima!? are used, with the other 22 characters of the class supporting them with power-ups.

General Info[edit]

Gameplay is for 1 player in Story Mode, and 1-4 players in Battle Mode.

  • All battles have four characters, the rest being A.I.

Attacks: There are three standard attacks, and one high-powered attack that each character has; here, they are classed as Basic Attack (B.A.), Unique Attack (U.A.), Ranged Attack (R.A.), and マギステル·アーツ (Magister Arts).

Story Mode[edit]

Go through the story as one of the 10 playable characters. As the story unfolds, you will go through 6 battles. They can have variant rules, including one type where you can't use your attacks, and have to win a Special Event as the match instead.

  • Battle 1: Free-for-all
  • Battle 2: Free-for-all
  • Battle 3: Teams, 2 vs. 2
  • Battle 4: Mini-game (No losing condition)
  • Battle 5: Free-for-all
  • Battle 6: Team of 4 vs. Final Boss

Battle Mode[edit]

In battle mode, you can select either 1 Player Challenge, or 1-4 players battles.

  • 1 Player Challenge: Fight through as many battles as you can.
  • 1-4 player battles: Essentially your standard multiplayer battle mode. Can be done as free-for-all, or teams of 2vs.2. Can set the time limit, turn on/off Special Events, choose the field, etc.

Omake Mode[edit]

Not a gameplay mode, but it's where all the extras go! Find out about any character's stats (though, those are listed in this guide), listen to music, check records, and view you Photo Album.

  • You have to unlock the pictures that go in the Photo Album. Beat Story Mode to get them (one each time?). There are 32 pictures to unlock!
  • There may be something unlocked from Battle Mode (1P challenge). (Needs verified/identified).

Pactio[edit]

While in Pactio Form, your attacks won't change in strength with the Stamina Meter. It becomes the time limit for the Pactio, and will slowly deplete; when it runs out the Pactio ends. Also, touching a Pactio Card while under the influence of a Pactio will make the card vanish instantly with no effect (you can do this to prevent opponents from using it).

  • You can increase the duration of Pactios by getting Stamina restoration items.
    • Of course, this won't allow for multiple Armor attacks, since using the attack fully drains the gauge.

Selecting a Pactio[edit]

  • 1a) Move Nunchuk in a circle motion to slow the cards' rotation.
  • 1b) Hold [A]+[B]and pull the Wii-mote back to select the Pactio passing in front (closest to the screen). (Makes a "fuwa~" sound)
    • It's not easy to pull off, but can be done. It's even harder on the other control styles...
  • 2) Just let it be random (do nothing).

Suka Pactio (GREEN CARD)[edit]

  • Changes your attacks to small range, low damage.
  • Any attack receive will cause an aerial knockback.
  • Can't dodge or recover during aerial knockback.
  • Can't pick anything up. But can still recover health and stamina.
  • HP will not drop below 1, i.e. you are practically invincible as long as you stay in Suka form.
  • Return to normal when Stamina depletes.
  • Can become larger if you get a Stamina restoration item. Of course, that also means you stay in Suka form longer.
    • Resistance to aerial knockback is restored to normal
    • If your HP is low, staying in Suka form will let you fight a bit longer while trying to recover your HP.

Cosplay Pactio (BLUE CARD)[edit]

  • Powers up your attacks (also makes some of them larger/more projectiles).
  • All attacks have no Stamina Cost, so you can spam your favorites, worry-free!
    • Get Stamina-recovery items when you get below 50% stamina to help make it last as long as possible!
  • HP will not be reduced, i.e. invincible.
  • Completely resistant to aerial knockback. However, your attack is still stopped if you are hit while attacking.
  • Stamina will be reduced when you are hit instead.
  • Returns to normal when Stamina depletes.
    • You can force your enemy to leave their Cosplay mode faster by attacking them.

Armor Pactio (RED CARD)[edit]

  • Completely Invincible while Armor Pactio is active.
  • Can't use any attacks, or pick up items.
    • You can still gather HP/Stamina restoring items.
  • マギステル·アーツ (Magister Arts): Trigger with [A]+[B]+Wii-mote (pull back); depletes Stamina Meter.

Playable Characters (10)[edit]

Details on the characters and their attack stats

  • The numbers are the attacks' stats. Shown as: [Power/Stamina - Cosplay Power], except for Magister Arts, which only show [Power], since they have not cost and end the Pactio after use.
    • Remember this: Stamina is the "cost" for an attack. When your stamina gets low enough, your attacks will get weaker/smaller/fewer projectiles.
    • While in a Pactio, your attacks won't drain your Stamina meter; instead it shows how long it will last. Also, while in Cosplay Pactio, some attacks get more than just a damage powerup, such as Evangeline's R.A. increasing to 7 projectiles.
  • The names of the attacks are given as directly stated in the game. Kanji may not yet be translated, and thus shown as "????"; also, Katakana English words will be shown in their English spelling.

  • U.A.: [20/35 - 20] "Crystallizatio Tellustris" (Freeze an area in front of you, as well as anyone caught in it)
  • Magister Arts: [26] "Nivis Tempestas Obscurans" (Controlled attack; rotate angle, quick rotation)

    • The number of books depends on the amount of Stamina left.
  • U.A.: [06/12 - 06] "Book Placement" (Book traps!? She can lay as many as she wants; they go off automatically after a certain amount of time passes)
    • The size and damage depends on the amount of Stamina left. Although possible, it is not a good idea to spam traps everywhere.
    • In Cosplay form, the book is slightly bigger, allowing it to cover larger area.
  • Magister Arts: [24] "Giant Encyclopedia" (Summons 1 (or 3) giant book(s) to attack in front (around, if 3) of herself)
    • I don't know how to trigger the 3-book version, but she definitely has two versions. Maybe involves Wii remote or full Stamina Meter?

Support Characters (22)[edit]

In the game, they are listed in their class order, minus those that are playable.

  • Sorted here by effect type, then class numberl.

You 'equip' up to 2 per person (no duplicates) before a battle. They give various power-ups as support, but trigger only once each in the battle.

  • Who you equip matters more than just their effect.
    • Several characters have a Best Partner, which can either be a Playable Character or a second Support Character. Either way, when they are teamed up with that person, their support effect will be much more useful. Those people are noted next to them.

Restore HP (25% / 50% [boosted])[edit]

  • 02 Akashi Yūna (S.C.: Okochi Akira, Kasuga Misora)
  • 25 Hasegawa Chisame (Although she has no Best Partner, certain condition - possibly related to Pactio transformation - will cause her to appear as Chiu and recovers HP by 100%)
  • 30 Yotsuba Satsuki (??%) (Doesn't have a Best Partner, but the amount recovered is not a set number).

"Guru-Guru Oobake"[edit]

Only fought at the final stage of Story Mode. As it takes damage, it gets bigger and it's attack become more dangerous and hard to avoid.

  • HP: ??? (a lot, naturally)

Attack pattern[edit]

  • When its HP bar is green (above 50%), the monster will stays unmoving at the center. It will aim at the last player that deals damage to it.
    • If the target is close enough, it will attempt to Slap the target.
    • If the target is far, it will attempt to launch 5 Spikes with the middle one towards the target. Running will not dodge
  • When its HP bar turns yellow (below 50%), the monster will start to leave the center and chase the players around. It may jump and crush the target, or run over the target.
    • It is a good idea to break open the crate in the middle, which always contains powerful explosives, and lure the monsters towards the items when it starts the chase.

Stages[edit]

There are 6 Stages available in the game, though you can only select 5 to play on at first. (I don't know if the last one can be unlocked for standard play. Also, I don't know their proper names, so I've just given them basic descriptive names for now, and put the descriptions. (Hopefully this will be corrected correctly.)

  • Sometimes, swarms of creatures will appear and attack the players. Beware of them.
  • Falling off of a stage will cause damage (about 1/8?), then you are returned to the field (unless you were defeated by that).

(Mahora City Courtyard)[edit]

This is effectively the most basic Stage in the game, with a Ferris Wheel in the background and a roller coaster that runs by the area.

  • Watch out for the spinning cups when they appear; break them or avoid them.
  • Has raids of creatures to attack the players.

(Bridge at night)[edit]

  • Occasionally the center area will suddenly tilt, making you more likely to get dumped off the edge.
  • The side areas might retract, making a large hole, sometimes right under you...
  • There are two cannons at the top-back. They will sometimes fire various items to attack with, so be wary.

(Ruins?)[edit]

Other than it's one hazard, this is the most basic field

  • Stone faces in the corners will occasionally shoot fire either across the sides of the field or diagonally through the center (their eyes glow orange before they fire)

(Behind Mahora Gakouen's giant clock)[edit]

  • Has several rotating areas. There are statues that can be attacked to reverse the direction of the rotating.
  • There are two treads in the upper area, which lead to drop-offs.

(Mahora Gakouen Library Island)[edit]

  • A statue might appear that when attacked drops a giant wash-pan on the main field area

(Final Boss Stage)[edit]

It's you and your companions against the Guru-Guru Monster!

  • This field has the most restricted movement range; it's effectively a V-shape area..
  • Doesn't seem unlockable

Special Events[edit]

These are kind of like mini-games that occur during a battle, but do matter afterwards. (the names are not official, or even necessarily correct; hopefully this can be corrected)

  • Several can appear in one battle, but never at the same time.
  • However, in Story Mode, there are some battles that are really just the mini-game, during which you can't use attacks to win.

Collect the Coins[edit]

Touch the coins to get points. There are Bronze (1 pt.), Silver (3 pts.), and Gold (5 pts.) coins. (They are officially called Coins)

Break the Statuettes[edit]

Attack a Statuette to get a point. Use wide-hitting attacks to destroy them faster (and before your opponents).

Creature Toss[edit]

Pick up a "chick" and toss it into the "magic well" (located around the center of the field) to get a point.

Defeat the Mogura[edit]

Attack the Mogura (large, bunny-like; appear via spell-circles) to get points. Be careful, the Mogura can also attack you! (They are officially called Mogura)

Gather the creatures[edit]

Pick up creatures and toss them into the cup that is by where you started.

  • You can also pick up explosives to throw into opponent's cups and reduce the number of creatures in their cup.

Items[edit]

There are various items that will appear during gameplay. Here we'll detail what they do.

Touch-trigger Items[edit]

  • Manjuu/other food stuff: Healing
  • Juice/(others?): restore Stamina Meter
    • When Stamina-restoring items are used by a person in Suka Pactio form, they will refill the Stamina Meter and become larger. (not sure if it actually makes them stronger... it DOES make them a bigger target.)
  • Pactio Card: Triggers Pactio Mode (invincible while transforming)

Throwing Items[edit]

Some items have variant appearances, based on the Stage being fought on.

  • Crate: Throw to do damage. When it breaks open, it releases several various items.
  • Freeze Ball: Pick up and throw to freeze opponent(s)
  • Flame Ball: Pick up and throw to injure opponent(s) and set them on fire (does continuous damage for a while)
    • While on fire, you can't pick up creatures; they'll jump out of your hands.
  • Smoke Ball: Pick up and throw to injure opponent(s), also does knockback
  • Bomb: Pick up and throw to injure opponent(s). Detonates on impact, or after a time period.
  • Time Bomb: Pick up and throw to injure opponent(s). Detonates after a time period.
  • Bowl of Ramen: Pick up and throw to do damage, with maybe strong knockback. (HUH?! and does it do anything else?)
