Ninja Gaiden 3 is the sequel to Ninja Gaiden II and was released worldwide for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in March, 2012. It was developed by Team Ninja and published by Tecmo Koei. While sharing the same number as the Nintendo Entertainment System game Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, it is not a conversion of that older title. An enhanced remake of the game, titled Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, was developed for Wii U and released on November 18, 2012. This version was later ported back to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and released in April 2013.
