The Fighting Field stages in Ninja Kid are divided into four major categories:

  • Guerrilla Warfare
  • Poison Field
  • Blazing Inferno
  • Dog Fight

There are unique rules for completing each of these Fighting Field types, but they each require that you fulfill a quota of 10 before you may leave. When you do, you will be presented with two exits. One leads directly to the overworld map, while the other drops you in a Demon Hell, from which you must climb and defeat a boss in order to escape.

The following maps show the layout for each stage. Every stage loops around continuously. The maps show two other important features: the approximate location you must pass through in order to make the crow or red panda appear, and the approximate location you must shoot from in order to make the extra life eyeball appear. Remember that the fake hairy eyeball will always appear with the extra life eyeball, and will reduce your lives by one if you collect it. If you collect a crow or red panda, the overworld exit will be indicated for you so that you don't have to guess.

Guerrilla Warfare[edit]

In Guerrilla Warfare, the object is simple: kill 10 enemies. In these stages, if you press the B button 20 times, an icon of a red woman will appear. If you collect it, you will earn 2000 points, and run 50% faster. If you press the B button another 5 times, it will disappear.

Poison Field[edit]

In the Poison Field stages, you must collect 10 demon spirits. The demon spirits will move in the same direction that you run in, albeit slightly slower, so you can eventually catch up. However, the demon spirits will not move in your direction if you jump. So it is easier to catch them by jumping towards them instead of running to them.

Blazing Inferno[edit]

In Blazing Inferno, you must direct a fire spirit, called Lighter, to light all 10 candles in the given stage. The fire spirit trails slowly behind you, and always attempt to take the shortest path to your location. It will stop a few pixels away from you and hover at waist level. To light all of the candles, you may need to line the flame up vertically with the candle wick, and jump up or drop down in order to get the flame to pass over the wick. In these stages, if you press the B button 20 times, an icon of a red woman will appear. If you collect it, you will earn 2000 points, and run 50% faster. If you press the B button another 5 times, it will disappear.

Dog Fight[edit]

The Dog Fight stages are very similar to the Guerrilla Warfare stages. You must kill 10 enemies in these stages as well. However, you have complete freedom of movement as you fly around on a ninja kite. The most common enemies are the Penangarans, which look like yellow snakes that flap their tails to fly. They are just slightly faster than you, but they continue to travel in a straight line. There are other more dangerous enemies which fire projectiles at you, and some which even protect themselves with shields. Dispatch them quickly. In the Treetops and Limestone stages, it is possible to find a pair of sunglasses that enable you to see a ghost in the stage named Buruburu. If you shoot it, you will earn 5000 points. If you touch it, you will die.
