Natsuhiko Azuma (吾妻 夏彦) is a mysterious weapons dealer who attacks the ship soon after it lifts off. He seems to hold a grudge against the espers for some unknown reason, and appears to be working with a traitor on the ship in order to eliminate them. Natsuhiko's appearance in itself is mysterious, wearing Western clothes and wielding a futuristic gun in a time period in which guns should not exist. As someone who attempted to break through her barrier, Mikoto herself holds a grudge against Natsuhiko, and is quick to investigate his attack after the fact. Should Mikoto choose to pair up with neither Sakuya or Itsuki, she will focus her investigation entirely on the mysterious gun-toting rebel.
