Your tower consists of five sections, the first is the main room which contains your throne and the "tower heart". When standing at your throne you will notice four stairwells, these are only opened as you progress through the game and lead to the following locations;

  • Left near stairwell, leads to the Forge, opened once you have the first forge.
  • Left far stairwell, leads to the Practice Area, opened from the start of the game.
  • Right near stairwell, leads to the Upper Floor, opened once you have saved Rose.
  • Right far stairwell, leads to the Dungeon, opened once you have recovered the crane.

Practice Area[edit]

The first section you are allowed access too. Used to teach you the basic controls of the Overlord.

Dungeon[edit]

The dungeon is a good place to harvest evil energy to create more minions, either for the Forge or game progression. You can fight all the enemies you have killed within your current game. You can choose as many of each minion as your Overlord can control, but you can not use mana to kill enemies. The best enemies to fight to harvest energy are the beetles, each beetle drops 3 lifeforce;

  • Battler Beetles - Brown lifeforce
  • Magma Beetles - Red lifeforce
  • Puff Beetles - Green lifeforce
  • Dazzler Beetles - Blue lifeforce

Forge[edit]

Used to upgrade your helmet, armor and weapons. You will need both gold and minions to forge a new item, but only minions to upgrade. You can obtain more minions from fights in the Dungeon. Before updating/forging new items the Overlords maximum stats are;

  • Health: Starting with 3 bars, maximum 9 (6 totem poles through out the game)
  • Mana: Starting with 3 bars, maximum 9 (6 totem poles through out the game)
  • Horde: Starting with 5 minions, maximum 35 (6 totem poles through out the game)
