There are a total of thirty-five areas that Pac-Man will travel through in four different environments (although he doesn't have to visit all of them); Village, Mountain, Metropolis and Factory. The various objects in them which could be shot and the ways in them that Pac-Man could die are explained below.

Village[edit]

Pac-Man's House[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the mailbox (to make it open), the "hat" window of the house itself (to make a bird fly out of it), the two "eye" windows of the house (to make them open), the chimney covering (to make it fall off upon the tutorial only), the "mouth" window of the house (to make it open and have Pac-Jr. emerge from it on the tutorial only), Pac-Man's pet dog, Chomp Chomp (to make him growl at his master, who will become angry as a result), the upturned bucket on the table and oildrum (to make Pac-Man play them like drums) and the windmill (to make it spin around; however, if you shoot it three times in succession it will come off its stand and fly around the garden like a shuriken, scaring Pac-Man away). The five Power Pellets on the tree can also be shot off (to add them into your inventory) - but if you already have three, they will just bounce away off the left side of the screen. Also, if you shoot the door of the house before Pac-Man has collected the item required to complete the first, second, or third missions, he will go inside.

Pac-Man's Room[edit]

The only object in this area that can be shot is the cuckoo clock (to make the cuckoo pop out on its spring; it also does not have weights or a pendulum). Also, if Pac-Man remains in this area for too long, Ms. Pac-Man will walk into view from the right side of the screen and get angry with him for having not brought back the milk bottle, mountain flower or guitar (and you cannot shoot her to shut her up) - which will make him sadder as he walks back outside.

Stock Farm[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the haystack (to make it land on the farmer so that he does not wake and scare Pac-Man away; however, you can still shoot it again to make him wake up and scare Pac-Man away), the cow (to make her angry and try to flick Pac-Man with her tail), the milk bottle on top of that "FREE" sign (to draw Pac-Man's attention to it - however, if you shoot it four times, it will shatter), the crow on top of the telephone wire (to make him fly down and knock the milk bottle off the "FREE" sign, and also to scare Pac-Man into running back and forth), the chicken coop (to make the chicken escape from it and scare Pac-Man away for 2nd time) and the Ropeway Station sign (to make Pac-Man take the Ropeway up to the Mountain from Mission 2 onwards; on Mission 1, a ticket inspector will appear, and start shouting gibberish at him for not having a ticket before turning him away). Pac-Man can die in this area if he gets flicked by the cow's tail, after you have shot her and made her angry of course, and seizes to death.

Old Arcade[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the cat on the wall (to make him angry, jump down to the ground, then beat Pac-Man to death), the hotdog vendor (to make him angry, start hitting the grill of his stand with his spatula and cover Pac-Man with ketchup before he gets irised-out on), the Railway Station sign (to make Pac-Man take the Railway to the City from Mission 3 onwards; on Missions 1 and 2, another ticket inspector will appear and start shouting gibberish at him for not having a ticket before turning him away), the first dustbin (to make another cat jump out of it and run off the left side of the screen - but if Pac-Man looks into it, the cat will jump out and beat him to death again), the second dustbin with eyes (to make it explode, as Blinky, Pinky and Inky emerge from it and cause Pac-Man to go into "scared" mode; you'll need to fire a power pellet at him to make him transform into "Super Pac-Man" at this point, because if you do not, he will eventually seize to death. Once he has eaten them all, that last one will leave an ID Card behind - which you will need to open the Locked Door at the end). Also, if you shoot the "CLOSED" sign on the door of the Market four times it will fall off; and if you shoot the door of the Game Center, he will go inside. There are two Game Centers in this game - one in the Village and one in the Metropolis, and the only objects that can be shot in both of them are: the Pac-Man cabinet (to make Pac-Man walk up to it, then initiate the 16-bit remake of his game's NES conversion), and the Ms. Pac-Man/Pac-Jr. cabinet (to make Pac-Man walk up to it, then initiate what is either the 16-bit remake of Ms. Pac-Man's NES conversion or Pac-Jr., which is not a conversion of Jr. Pac-Man - but it will be that title's intro you'll hear from the Yamaha YM-2612 at the outset). However, if you do not have all three cartridges, their title screens say "YOU NEED MORE CARTRIDGES" (as opposed to "PUSH START BUTTON").

Park[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the face of the clock (to make its hands spin around to either 4:45, 7:25, 10:10 or 12:00; for the last of these times, the four soldier automata will start marching around while playing a tune, which Pac-Man will dance to). Objects to look out for in this area are two rocks, one on either side, as Pac-Man will trip over them - and a skateboard which will always be on the side you enter from, and will fly into the air when Pac-Man lands on it, before coming down on him and killing him. However, if you can get Pac-Man to look at the rock on that side from which he entered and step over it if he is not angry (if he is, he will merely kick it, then jump into the air in pain three times, before tripping over it as if you never told him to look), he will get on the skateboard and start riding it if he is happy; but you should make sure to shoot him off it before he trips over the rock at the other side, then gets thrown into a tree (which will kill him again). This is the first area of this game that you are not actually required to visit in order to finish it.

Village Way[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the large apple on the "KEEP OUT" sign (to attract Pac-Man's attention to it), another crow on the telephone wire (to make him fly down and knock the large apple off the "KEEP OUT" sign, and also to scare Pac-Man into running back and forth again), the spider hanging from the first tree (to make him fall off), the mailbox (to make it open), the door of Lucy's house (to make Pac-Man go inside it), and the sleeping bulldog (to make him wake up and then start barking at Pac-Man to scare him away); the eight smaller apples on the second tree can also be shot off (to make Pac-Man eat them), but once he has eaten three of them, he will pass up the rest. Pac-Man can die in this area if he gets slammed into the wall of the pink-haired man's house on the left side after he opens his door (but if he is angry, the opening door will merely knock him back a little on its impact).

Lucy's Room[edit]

The only object in this environment that can be shot is Lucy herself, but no matter how frustrated a player may get if Pac-Man is feeling mischievous and bouncing on the couch, you should never shoot her; if you do, she will start screaming and nothing will make her stop as Pac-Man walks over to her and gets frustrated himself before being irised-out on. One of those three video cartridges is hidden under that couch - and that is why she is trying to shift it.

Mountain[edit]

Ropeway Station[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include that Ropeway Station sign (to make Pac-Man take the Ropeway back down to the Village), a "Danger" sign (to make it turn around and reveal an arrow pointing upwards on the other side; a rock will then fall down from the top of the screen, and you will have to shoot Pac-Man to make him jump out of the way, because if you do not, it will crush and kill him), a curled-up rope (to make it uncurl - and if you can get Pac-Man to look at it, he will climb up it to Cliff), and a waterfall (to make Pac-Man wash his face in it). The three logs on the right side don't do anything.

Forest[edit]

Objects in this area which can be shot include a yellow berry on the first tree (to make it fall off; if Pac-Man eats it he will get "hepped up" on it, but if you do not shoot him to bring him back down again, he will crash into the third tree and eight caterpillars will fall out of it, making him go into "scared" mode), two butterflies on the second and sixth trees (to make them fly away), a blue berry on the fifth tree (to make it fall off - and if Pac-Man eats this he will be brought down on it, but if he starts to walk back to the left he will again crash into the third tree as the eight caterpillars fall out of it and make him go into "scared" mode), and a rock (to make Pac-Man kick it over the edge). If Pac-Man is feeling mischievous, he will also try to sit on that pile of three logs on the right side; but they will collapse under him and knock him out and you will then have to shoot him to make him regain consciousness before he dies.

Entrance of Cave[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the four platforms that you need to make Pac-Man jump onto by shooting him when he bends over (to make them recede into the wall), but only the second one needs to be shot when he is standing on it, to make him fall down to that third one below it; Pac-Man can also die in this area if he falls off the bottom of the screen. Once he has made it to the other side, he will look at the guide which tells him how to ride the mine cart - and you should also not shoot the mine cart, as it will go off into Dangerous Cave by itself, leaving Pac-Man stranded. Just wait for him to get into it and start pumping; to make Pac-Man increase the speed of his pumping, press the Y (or C) Button and to make him jump in the air, shoot him.

Dangerous Cave[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the lanterns (to dim the lights for a split-second); you will also have to shoot Pac-Man himself, to make him jump over some of the platforms (for he will crash into them otherwise), along with the ghosts (when they are carrying rocks, or flying into view from the left side of the screen to hide behind larger rocks on platforms, but not when they are holding spiked chandeliers, for it is much safer to just pass under them). Pac-Man can die in this area if he crashes into a platform, hits the stalactites on the ceiling, gets crushed by a rock or spiked chandelier, or gets thrown out of his mine cart as a result of it crashing into a rock or spiked chandelier - and he will also get sent all the way back to this area's beginning.

Arrival Point[edit]

The only object in this area that can be shot is Pac-Man himself when he gets out of the cart and bends down (to make him jump onto the rope and slide down it); he will then cry out in pain while looking at his giant hand and become angrier, before walking off the right side of the screen to Construct Area.

Construct Area[edit]

Objects in this area which can be shot include an upturned mine cart (to make Pac-Man push it, or kick it if he is angry before jumping into the air in pain three times to the left and uncover a power pellet), a mousehole (to make a gray mouse run out of it and off the right side of the screen), a stack of three sacks (to make salt start leaking out of the second one, which will make Pac-Man angrier then patch up the hole you made as a result), the first box with eyes (to make it explode, as Blinky, Inky and Clyde emerge from it and cause Pac-Man to go into "scared" mode again; you'll again need to fire a power pellet at him to make him transform into "Super Pac-Man" at this point, because if you do not he will again eventually seize to death. Once he has eaten them all, the last one will leave another ID Card behind (which you will need to open the Locked Door at the end) - and if you shoot the second box Pac-Man will look into it and pull out another of the three video cartridges. If you shoot the third box, Pac-Man will look into it and pull out a slice of pizza then eat it (which will make him happier); finally, if you shoot that control panel on that right side, Pac-Man will press the buttons on it, but nothing will happen (which will make him angrier). He will then punch the control panel (causing its pulley mechanism to operate, as the ground vibrates under him) - and he will then run off the right side of the screen and through what is now the opened-up hole in the wall, leading back to the left side of the Ropeway Station.

Cliff[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the hang-glider (which will initially scare Pac-Man into running back to the left; he will then look at the guide which tells him how to fly it), and a rock (which must be shot three times, to prevent Pac-Man from tripping over it and falling off the edge while he takes off to Misty Flight). To make Pac-Man's hang-glider ascend, you'll have to press the Y (or C) Button - and to make it descend you will have to shoot him.

Misty Flight[edit]

The only objects in this area which can be shot are Pac-Man himself (to make him descend), along with the ghosts (regardless of what they are carrying this time); Pac-Man can also die in this area if he crashes into the top of a tree, a rock, or a platform, or is hit by a boxing-glove-on-a-stick thrown at him.

Hillock[edit]

This area does not feature any objects that can be shot, and it merely serves as an arrival point for after Pac-Man has made it to the end of Misty Flight.

Top of the MTN.[edit]

Objects in this area which can be shot include four curled-up vines hanging from the third, fifth and seventh trees (to make them uncurl; the first one will curl back up when Pac-Man pulls it and you will have to shoot him to make him drop back down to the ground, that second one will cause an apple core to fall out of a hole in the fifth tree which will make Pac-Man angrier and cause him to throw it over the edge, the third one will cause a rabbit to jump out of the hole in the fifth tree, who will make Pac-Man happier then cause him to run after him, and the fourth one will cause a hole to open up beneath him as he falls down it and comes out of the hole in the wall back at the Ropeway Station). Also, if you shoot that balloon that comes flying up into view from the bottom of the screen, it will explode and ten birds will fly out of the seventh tree, which will either make Pac-Man angry or sad - and if it is the former, he can die in this area if he walks over the edge. Finally, if he is happy when he walks into the flower patch before the edge, he will pick up a pink flower and do his "victory dance" while holding the flower in the air; you will then have to make him pull that fourth vine to get him back to the Ropeway Station.

Metropolis[edit]

Station St.[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the Railway Station sign (to make Pac-Man take the Railway back to the Village), a painter and his two paint pots on a plank (to make them wobble; no matter how many times you shoot these, they will never fall off, but if Pac-Man bumps into the ladder up to the plank from the left side, he will get angry and kick it over, sending them flying into the air, before laughing uproariously. The first paint pot will fall down in front of him, and the second one will almost land on top of him - but he will jump out of the way onto the plank just in time. When the painter lands on the other end of the plank, he will catapult Pac-Man into the air himself and knock him out when he lands; which means that you will again have to shoot him to make him regain his consciousness before he dies). Also, if you shoot the door of the Game Center, Pac-Man will go inside - and on the third mission, if you shoot the statue outside the hamburger shop, its head will fall off (causing Pac-Man to go into "scared" mode and hide behind it as the owner, who looks exactly like the statue, comes out. If Pac-Man is feeling mischievous he will do this himself and laugh uproariously; but when the owner comes out, he will start shouting gibberish at Pac-Man and scare him away). It is also possible to shoot the top off the hamburger that the statue is holding (to make a UFO fly out of it, then fly around in front of Pac-Man, before flying away off the top of the screen) - and if Pac-Man is walking through the puddle and a car passes by from the right side of the screen, it will cover him with water before he gets irised-out on. Finally, on Mission 4, the statue will no longer be outside the hamburger shop; instead, there will be an elevator, and if you shoot it, Pac-Man will get into it, then be taken upwards to the area of Rooftop.

Fountain Way[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the bench (to make Pac-Man sit and bounce on it), the three apples and yellow berry in the second tree (to make them fall off; again, if Pac-Man eats the yellow berry, he will get "hepped up" on it), two fish that are jumping out of the fountain (to make them go belly-up, then land on the ground), the fountain (to make Pac-Man jump into it and spit water out of his mouth, before he gets irised-out on), the balloon stand (to make it explode - and again, if Pac-Man is feeling mischievous, he will do this himself and laugh uproariously. However, if Pac-Man was in the vicinity of the now-ruined balloon seller at the time, he will fill him with helium, so he can float up to Pulley Area). Also, if you shoot the revolving door of the Department Store, Pac-Man will go inside it; and if you shoot the shopping trolley outside it Pac-Man will jump into it (if he is not angry) and the cart will roll down the slope it hits the wall at the bottom and he gets thrown into it, which will kill him. However, if he is angry when you shoot it he will kick it down the slope before it again hits the wall at the bottom, but in this case it will knock the hotdog out of the hands of the chef in the poster and onto the ground - and Pac-Man will then eat the hotdog, which will make him happier. There is also no additional blue berry to bring Pac-Man down in this area.

Department Store[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the bell, bugle, and triangle on the front table (to make them fly into the air; when they land, they will bounce off the table and onto the ground), the piano (to make Pac-Man play one of five songs upon it), the drums (to make Pac-Man play them like the upturned bucket and oil drum in his own garden - but if he is angry, he will punch two holes in them, which will cause the cashier to start shouting gibberish at him and scare him away), the two additional bells, the two additional bugles and the second triangle upon the right table (to knock them over), and the guitar that is hanging from the ceiling (to draw Pac-Man's attention to it; however, he will pass it up). Playing that grand piano will also make Pac-Man happier.

Main St.[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the leaking fire hydrant (to make Pac-Man turn it off, but it will turn itself back on again, which will make him angrier; he will then kick the hydrant three times and cover it in brown tape, and the resulting pressure will cause the manhole cover to fly up into the air, which will scare Pac-Man). If you can get Pac-Man out of his "scared" mode by shooting him, he will go down the manhole into Sewer - and if you shoot the two "CLOSED" signs on the first and third buildings' doors four times, they will again fall off. Also, if you shoot the dustbin with eyes it will explode as Inky and Clyde emerge from it and cause Pac-Man to go into "scared" mode once again; you will then once again have to shoot a power pellet at him to make him transform into "Super Pac-Man", because if you do not he will once again eventually seize to death. Once he has eaten both of them, the last one remaining will not leave an ID Card behind this time - and if you shoot the two flowerpots on the window sills at the top of the third building, they will fly into the air and fall down. If they land on Pac-Man, they will bounce off him before landing on the ground and shattering, which will make him angrier; finally, if Pac-Man had entered this area from the right side, two laughing children will run into view from the left side of the screen as he passes them. If you shoot them, they will start crying - which will again make Pac-Man angrier but you need to make him angry for when he proceeds to Industrial Area.

Industrial Area[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the cola machine (to make Pac-Man press its buttons, but nothing will happen, which will make him angrier; he will then kick it, causing its reels to spin around. If the three symbols do not match, its top will open up as one cola can flies out of it into the air before landing on Pac-Man's head, which will make him even angrier - but if they do match, its top will open up as confetti flies out of it and it dispenses not just one, but eighteen cola cans. Pac-Man will then pick up the single can that didn't roll off the bottom of the screen and do his "victory dance" while holding it in the air before drinking it, which will make him happier). Also, if Pac-Man had entered this area from the left side, there will be a blue-skinned security guard standing in front of the factory; if you shoot him in the face, he will laugh sinisterly. If you shoot the gates of that factory, and Pac-Man is angry, he will try to pick a fight with the security guard - and when he sidesteps over to him, Pac-Man will run back to the left and continue trying to pick a fight with him. He will then start shouting in gibberish at Pac-Man, before sidestepping back over to him again, and picking him up; once you have shot him twenty times, he will drop Pac-Man and explode as Pinky, Inky, and Clyde (the last of whom is carrying the stolen guitar of Pac-Jr.) emerge from him and cause Pac-Man to go into "scared" mode. You will then yet again have to shoot a power pellet at him to make him transform into "Super Pac-Man" at this point, because if you do not, he will yet again eventually seize to death; once he eats them all, that last one remaining will (again) not leave an ID Card behind. However, if you cannot shoot the security guard twenty times after he picks Pac-Man up, he will throw him off the right side of the screen, and back onto Station St., which will knock him out when he lands - and you will (once again) have to shoot him to make him regain his consciousness, before he dies.

Pulley Area[edit]

Objects in this area which can be shot include the pulley (to try and make Pac-Man jump up to it; you will then have to shoot him to make him jump high enough to reach it, and if you shoot him again while he is over the roof of the building with the three dustbins on it, he will jump off and land on it). If you shoot the second dustbin, Pac-Man will look inside it, then pull out the last of the three video cartridges before doing his "victory dance" and holding it in the air - but you will then have to make him commit suicide by shooting him when he bends over on the right side of the roof, as he will die in this area if he falls off the bottom of the screen. You will also have to shoot him again when he is over the roof of the building on the right side of the area; because if you do not, he will slam into a metal billboard, which will also kill him. Once he walks off the right side of the screen, he will proceed to Under Building.

Under Building[edit]

Objects in this area which can be shot include the two big chimneypots (to make smoke come out of them; Pac-Man will also look into them but they will explode in his face and kill him). Also, if Pac-Man is happy when he reaches the edge of the building on the left side, he will run back to the left and do a Sonic the Hedgehog-style spin-jump off it, to land on the girder on the right side - and once he has landed, he will walk onto a loose section of the girder, which will vibrate beneath him as he steps on it and falls off the bottom of the screen, taking him with it to Industrial Area, and KO'ing him when he lands.

Sewer[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include a tin can (to make Pac-Man kick it into the sewage); also, if Pac-Man is angry, you can shoot the hole in the wall to make him enter it. The screen will then vibrate as he gets beaten inside by two men, who will then run out, with white sacks over their shoulders - and if Pac-Man was not at his angriest, he will be knocked out but he will regain his consciousness. But if he was at his angriest, he will run after the two men and jump onto the sack of the second one, who will drop it on top of Pac-Man and carry on running; when Pac-Man gets it off himself, a free power pellet will come out of it. He will then notice that those two men went through a revolving hole in the wall and go through it after them to the Secret Path.

Secret Path[edit]

The only object in this area that can be shot is the mine cart (which you should again not shoot, for it will go into that Secret Way by itself, again leaving Pac-Man stranded); you should again just wait for him to get into it and start pumping. The two men who had beaten him also appear to have vanished.

Secret Way[edit]

This area is a lot like the Dangerous Cave, only with a higher chance of hitting the stalactites; Blinky has also started using the spiked chandeliers in it.

Secret Underpass[edit]

As with Hillock, this area does not feature any objects that can be shot, and it merely serves as an arrival point for after Pac-Man has made it to the end of the Secret Way; Pac-Man will get out of the mine cart, climb up the rope and emerge in a bush of his own garden before crawling out of it backwards.

Rooftop[edit]

This area does not feature any objects that can be shot; once Pac-Man gets out of the elevator, Blinky, Inky and Clyde will fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen, causing him to go into "scared" mode for a fifth time. You will then, for a fifth time, have to shoot a power pellet at him to make him transform into "Super Pac-Man" at this point - because if you do not he will, for the fifth time, eventually seize to death. Once he has eaten them all, the last one remaining will leave the third ID Card behind; once he has returned to normal and picked it up, he will do his "victory dance" while holding it in the air. He will then walk off that right side of the screen, as he proceeds to Pulley Area - but you cannot make him go back to this area from that one.

Factory[edit]

Warehouse[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include: the hook (to make Pac-Man jump up and grab onto it, then drop down onto the ground), that frying pan with eyes (to make it explode as Pinky, Inky and Clyde emerge from it, and cause Pac-Man to go into "scared" mode for a sixth time; you will, for a sixth time, have to shoot a power pellet at him to make him transform into "Super Pac-Man" at this point, because if you do not, he will, for the sixth time, eventually seize to death. Once he has eaten them all, the last one remaining will once again not leave an ID Card behind this time, as you should have all three by this point) - and if you shoot the second frying pan on the wall (under Blinky's nameplate), Pac-Man will pick it up and use it to knock the third, fourth and fifth frying pans (under Pinky, Inky and Clyde's nameplates) off the wall, revealing the three numbers 4, 1, and 5 underneath (this is the code to open the Locked Door, so you should remember it for when you get to there); he will then walk off the right side of the screen, as he proceeds to the Secret Plant.

Secret Plant[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the hook (to make Pac-Man jump up and grab onto it, then drop down over the machine that will transform him into a yellow ghost and onto the second conveyor belt; if he is scared, he will not jump up to it, but try and run backwards on the first conveyor belt before getting drawn into the machine and coming out of the other side as a yellow ghost. You will now have to shoot him once you have shot the laser beam at the end of the second conveyor belt to return him to normal - but if you cannot do this quickly enough, Clyde will fly into view from the left side of the screen and carry him away before he gets irised-out on). Also, if you cannot shoot the laser beam at the end of the second conveyor belt quickly enough, Pinky, Inky and Clyde will fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen and cause Pac-Man to go into "scared" mode for the seventh time; you will then, for a seventh time, have to shoot a power pellet at him to make him transform into "Super Pac-Man" at this point, because if you do not, he will for a seventh time eventually seize to death. Once he has eaten them all, the last one remaining will yet again not leave an ID Card behind as you should have all three of them by this time - and he will now walk off the right side of the screen as he proceeds to the Biochemical Lab. It's also worth noting that this was the first (and so far only) occasion that Pac-Man could get turned into a ghost, and if he does he looks like this: Pac-Man 2 Pac-Ghost.gif

Biochemical Lab[edit]

Objects in this area that can be shot include the cryogenic tube (to draw Pac-Man's attention to it; if he is angry, he will repeatedly punch and kick it until it shatters and the creature it contained leaks onto the ground, which will scare Pac-Man, and also deactivate another laser beam on the wall), the three beakers upon the first table (if you shoot them four times, they will shatter and the second one will leave a free power pellet behind), the swivel chair (to make it spin around and draw Pac-Man's attention to it - and he will then sit in the chair and ask you to shoot him, so he can spin around while laughing uproariously, but if you shoot him five times in succession, the chair will rise up into the air before falling to the ground and knocking out Pac-Man when he lands. You will then (yet again) have to shoot him to make him regain consciousness, before he dies; also, if you shoot any of the four additional red beakers on the second table, it will scare Pac-Man (no matter how many times you shoot these ones, they will never shatter), but if you shoot the green one at the end, it will explode (if Pac-Man is feeling mischievous, he will make it explode himself, but in his face which will kill him). He will then walk off the right side of the screen, as he proceeds to the Locked Door - and you must remember that the correct three-card combination for that is 4, 1, and 5.

Locked Door[edit]

The only objects in this area that can be shot are the five card slots of the door (to make their numbers light up and Pac-Man put the three ID Cards into them, in that order of which you shot them; you should remember from the Warehouse that the code is 4, 1, and 5, and once Pac-Man has put the three ID Cards into the slots, in that order, the door will open up and he will go into the Gum Monster's room). However, if you shoot the card slots of the door in any other order, and Pac-Man puts the three ID Cards into them in that order, the door will eject them and Pinky, Clyde and Sue will fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen, causing Pac-Man to go into "scared" mode for an eighth time - and you will then for an eighth time have to shoot a power pellet at him to make him transform into "Super Pac-Man" at this point, because if you do not he will, for an eighth time, eventually seize to death. Once he has eaten them all, you will have to make him walk back off that left side of the screen, back to Biochemical Lab, before making him walk back off the right side of the screen to have another try at putting the three ID Cards into the slots of the door, in that correct order - and it is also worth noting that the only female member of the ghost gang (who also appears in anthropomorphic form for the first time since 1987), now looks like this: Pac-Man 2 Sue.gif

Gum Monster!!![edit]

The only object in this area that can be shot is the Gum Monster himself; you will also, for a ninth and final time, have to shoot a power pellet at Pac-Man to make him transform into "Super Pac-Man" at this point, because if you do not, the Gum Monster will grab him (and he will immediately seize to death). This means that if you do not have any power pellets left, you can never win - and you can tell when he is weakening because he begins flashing, but he will always be growing, so you'll have to shoot him back into the pool as quickly as possible. Once he has receded back into the pool, you win the game; once Pac-Man has returned to normal, he will do his "victory dance" for a final time, before the screen fades out and the game's ending sequence starts.
