Ms. Pac-Man:

TODAY IS LUCY'S
BIRTHDAY,
SHE LOVES FRESH
MOUNTAIN FLOWERS.
PLEASE TAKE
THE ROPE-WAY,
AND PICK SOME
FLOWERS FOR HER.

Pac-Man:

ALL RIGHT.

Once Pac-Man has left his house, use the Y (or C) Button in conjunction with the D-Pad to try and make him look to the right; as he starts walking in that direction, you should not shoot the windmill three times in succession, as it will come off its stand and fly around the garden like a shuriken, scaring Pac-Man away. Once he has walked through the gate on the right side of the screen, it will fade out, as he proceeds to Stock Farm for what is a second time.

Once the screen has faded back in, shoot the haystack to make it land on the farmer, so that he does not wake up and scare Pac-Man away; you should now not shoot the chicken coop, as the chicken will escape and scare Pac-Man away. Instead, you should shoot the Ropeway Station sign to make Pac-Man take the Ropeway to the Mountain - and the screen will then cut to a shot of the overworld game map, as Pac-Man is taken to the Ropeway Station.

Once the screen has faded back in for a second time, use the Y (or C) Button in conjunction with the D-Pad to try and make Pac-Man look to the right for a second time; as he starts walking in that direction, you must shoot the "Danger" sign to make it turn round and reveal the upward-pointing arrow on the other side. A rock will then fall down from the top of the screen - and you will have to shoot Pac-Man to make him jump out of the way, because if you do not, it will crush (and kill) him. If you want to, you can now shoot the waterfall, to make Pac-Man wash his face in it; he will then proceed on to the Forest.

Once the screen has faded back in for a third time, you can shoot the yellow berry in the first tree, to make it fall to the ground; if Pac-Man eats it, he will get "hepped up" on it, but if you do not shoot him to bring him back to normal again, he will crash into the third tree and eight caterpillars will fall out of it, making him go into scared mode. You can also shoot the two butterflies on the second and sixth trees to make them fly away - and if you shoot the blue berry in the fifth tree it will also fall to the ground. If Pac-Man eats it, he will be brought down on it; however, if he decides to walk back to the left, he will again crash into the third tree as the eight caterpillars fall out of it and make him go into "scared" mode. You must now shoot the rock to make Pac-Man kick it over the edge - and if he is feeling mischievous, he will sit on the pile of three logs, which will collapse underneath him and knock him out, so you will have to shoot him to make him regain consciousness before he dies. He will now proceed off the right side of the screen onto the Entrance of Cave.

Once the screen has faded back in, for a fourth time, shoot Pac-Man as he bends over to make him jump onto the first platform, then shoot him again as he bends over again to make him jump onto the second platform; you will now have to shoot the second platform to make Pac-Man fall down to the third platform below, then shoot him once again when he bends over for the third time, to make him jump onto the fourth platform. You will then have to shoot him yet again when he bends over for a fourth time to make him jump onto the other side - and he will then read the guide which tells him how to use the mine cart. You should also not shoot the mine cart, as it will go off into Dangerous Cave by itself; just wait for Pac-Man to get in there and start pumping.

Once the screen has faded back in for the fifth time, press the Y (or C) Button repeatedly to speed Pac-Man's pumping up as his cart rolls down a slope, up another slope, and flies over a gap in the rails; once he has landed, you will have to shoot him thrice to make him jump over three platforms and land back in the cart, then continue pressing the Y (or C) Button repeatedly (to speed his pumping up) as Blinky flies into view from the left side of the screen while carrying a rock. Once you have fired a shot at him to make him retreat (if you cannot do this quickly enough he will drop the rock on the tracks and you will have to shoot it off), you will come to Inky, who is hovering in place while extending a spiked chandelier down to the tracks - and once you have passed under him (if you shoot him and make him retreat, the spiked chandelier will fall onto the tracks and either crush Pac-Man or cause him to crash into it), you will come to Clyde who is hovering in place while extending another spiked chandelier down to the tracks. Once you have passed under him (again, if you shoot him to make him retreat his spiked chandelier will fall onto the tracks and either crush Pac-Man or force him to crash into it), the cart will roll up a third slope and down a fourth slope then fly over another gap in the rails; once it has landed, it will roll down a fifth slope as Blinky, Inky and Clyde again fly into view from that left side of the screen. Once you have fired off a shot at all of these to make them retreat (again, if you cannot do this quickly enough they will hide behind three more larger rocks on three more platforms, and if you still cannot shoot them quickly enough at this point they will push them down onto the tracks, either crushing Pac-Man, or causing him to crash into them), Blinky will fly into view from that left side of the screen for a third time - and once you have fired a shot at him to make him retreat (once again, if you cannot do this quickly enough, he will hide behind a fourth larger rock on a seventh platform, and if you still cannot shoot him quickly enough for this point, he will push it down onto the tracks, either crushing Pac-Man or causing him to crash into it), the cart will roll up a sixth slope, and fly over a third gap in the rails. Once it lands, you have to shoot Pac-Man twice more to make him jump over two more platforms, and land back in the cart; you will then once again come to Inky, who is (again) hovering in place while extending a third spiked chandelier down to the tracks. Once you have passed under him (once again, if you shoot him and make him retreat, the spiked chandelier will fall down onto the tracks, either crushing Pac-Man or cause him to crash into it) Clyde will once again fly into view from the left side of the screen while carrying another rock - and once you have fired a shot at him to make him retreat (yet again, if you cannot do it quickly enough he will drop the rock onto the tracks and you will have to shoot it off), the cart will roll up a seventh slope, then fly over a fourth gap in the rails. Once it has landed, it will pass a Sonic the Hedgehog-style sign with the word of "GOAL" on it, causing it to start spinning in a clockwise direction before the screen fades out.

Once the screen has faded back in for a sixth time at Arrival Point, Pac-Man will get out of the cart; you will then have to shoot him when he bends over for a fifth time, to make him jump onto the rope and slide down it. He will then cry out in pain while looking at his giant hand and become angrier, before walking off the right side of the screen to Construct Area - which is where the first of the three ID Cards (needed to open up the Locked Door) is located.

Once the screen has faded back in for the seventh time, you can shoot the upturned mine cart to make Pac-Man kick it to the left (due to his anger) and uncover a power pellet; you can also shoot the mouse hole to make a gray mouse run out of it and off the left side of the screen, along with the stack of three sacks to make salt start leaking out of the middle one which will make Pac-Man angrier and patch up the hole you made. If you shoot the first box with eyes, it will explode as Blinky, Inky and Clyde emerge from it and cause Pac-Man to go into his "scared" mode - and you will have to shoot a power pellet at him to make him transform into "Super Pac-Man" at this point, because if you do not he will eventually seize to death. Once he has eaten them all, the last one will leave an ID Card behind; once Pac-Man has returned to "normal" you must use the Y (or C) Button in conjunction with the D-Pad to try and make him walk towards it. Once he has picked it up, he will do his "victory dance", while holding the card in the air - and if you shoot the second box, he will look inside it and pull out one of the three video cartridges, before holding it in the air and doing his "victory dance" again. Now, if you shoot the third box, Pac-Man will look inside it and pull out a slice of pizza before eating it (which will make him happier); if you shoot the control panel, he will press the buttons on it, but nothing will happen (which will make him angry again). He will now punch the control panel, causing its pulley mechanism to operate as the ground vibrates beneath him - and he will then run through the opened-up hole in the wall which is leading back to the Ropeway Station.

You will then again have to shoot the "Danger" sign to make it turn around and reveal the upward-pointing arrow on the other side; a rock will then again fall down from the top of the screen, and you will again have to shoot Pac-Man to make him jump out of the way. But this time, you will have to shoot the curled-up rope to make it uncurl, then use the Y (or C) Button to try and make Pac-Man look at it - and once he has seen it, he will climb up it to the Cliff.

Once the screen has faded back in for a ninth time, shoot the hang-glider out of the tree; it will initially scare Pac-Man into running back to the left, but he will then read the guide that tells him how to fly it. You will then have to shoot the rock three times, to prevent Pac-Man from tripping over as he takes off.

Once the screen has faded back in for a tenth time (at Misty Flight), press the Y (or C) Button to make him ascend, and fly over the top of a tree; you will then have to shoot him to make him descend and fly under the bottom of another tree. Clyde will then fly into view from the right side of the screen while carrying a rock - and once you have fired a shot at him to make him retreat (if you cannot do this quickly enough, he will drop the rock on Pac-Man), you will again have to press the Y (or C) Button to make Pac-Man ascend, and fly over a platform. Inky and Pinky will then fly into view from the right side of the screen, carrying sticks with boxing gloves tied to them; once you have fired a shot at both of these to make them retreat (again, if you cannot do this quickly enough, they will throw the sticks at Pac-Man), a larger rock will fall down from the top of the screen. You will then once again have to press that Y (or C) Button to make Pac-Man ascend as another larger rock falls down from the top of the screen and onto another platform - and a third larger rock will then fall down from the top of the screen. You will then, again, have to shoot Pac-Man to make him descend as the fourth larger rock falls down from the top of the screen, and onto a third platform; a fifth larger rock will then fall down from the top of the screen. You will then yet again have to press that Y (or C) Button to make Pac-Man ascend as a sixth larger rock falls down from the top of the screen and onto a fourth platform (while watching out for a fifth platform at the top of the screen), then, for the fifth time, press the Y (or C) Button to make him ascend then fly over a sixth platform - and a seventh larger rock will then fall down from the top of the screen. You will now for a sixth time have to press the Y (or C) Button to make Pac-Man ascend, as an eighth larger rock falls down from the top of the screen, and onto a seventh platform; Clyde will then again fly up into view from the bottom of the screen carrying another rock. Once you fire a shot at him to make him retreat (once again, if you cannot do it quickly enough he will drop the rock on Pac-Man), you will once again have to shoot Pac-Man to make him descend and fly under a third tree - and you will then for a seventh time have to press the Y (or C) Button to make Pac-Man ascend as Pinky, Inky and Clyde again fly into view from the right side of the screen, carrying sticks with boxing gloves tied to them. Once you fire a shot at each of them to make them retreat (yet again, if you cannot do it quickly enough, they will throw the sticks at Pac-Man), you will, yet again, have to shoot Pac-Man to make him descend and fly under a fourth tree; Inky will then once again fly into view from the right side of the screen, while carrying a third rock. Once you fire a shot at him to make him retreat (for a fifth time, if you cannot do this quickly enough, he will drop the rock on Pac-Man), you will, for the eighth time, have to press the Y (or C) Button to make Pac-Man ascend and fly over the top of a fifth tree (which has a second Sonic-style "GOAL" sign on top of it) - and once he has passed the sign, it will start spinning in a clockwise direction as the screen fades.

Once the screen has faded back in for an eleventh time (at Hillock), Pac-Man will land his hang-glider in a tree, get off and walk off the right side of the screen to Top of the MTN.; this is where he will find the item that is required to clear this mission, but in order for him to notice it, he must not be angry.

Once the screen has faded back in, you can shoot the first and second curled-up vines in the third and fifth trees, to make them uncurl (if Pac-Man pulls them, they will curl back up and cause an apple core to drop out of the hole in the fifth tree, which will make him angrier); however, if you shoot the third curled-up vine in the fifth tree to make it uncurl and Pac-Man pulls it, it will cause a rabbit to jump out of the hole in the fifth tree, who will make Pac-Man happier. But if you should shoot the balloon that comes flying up into view from the bottom of the screen, it will explode, and cause ten birds to fly out of the seventh tree - which will either make Pac-Man angrier or sadder as a result. If it is the former, he can die in this area if he walks over the edge; also, if he is happy when he walks into the flower patch before the edge, he will pick up a pink flower and do his "victory dance" for a 3rd time while holding it up in the air. You will now have to use the Y (or C) Button in conjunction with the D-Pad to try and make Pac-Man look back to the left - and as he starts walking in that direction, you will have to shoot the fourth curled-up vine in that seventh tree to make him pull it. A hole will then open up beneath him as he falls down it, and comes out of the hole in the wall back at the Ropeway Station; you now have to shoot the sign to make him go back to Stock Farm.

Once the screen has faded back in for a fourteenth time, you must use the Y (or C) Button in conjunction with the D-Pad, to try and make Pac-Man look back to the left; this time, you could shoot the chicken coop to make the chicken escape and scare Pac-Man away as he will run back off the left side of the screen faster. You could also shoot the haystack to make it land on the farmer - then shoot it again to make him wake up and scare Pac-Man away.

Once the screen has faded back in for a 15th time shoot the door of Pac-Man's house to make him go into it and clear the second mission of the game.

Ms. Pac-Man:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
LUCY.

Ghost Witch of Netor:
YOU FAILED AGAIN!
NOW FACE MY
WRATH!

PASSWORD: BWHY37Y (SNES)/4M5CFDM (Sega Genesis)

It is also worth noting that if you have to reset the game as a result of being in a hopeless situation (such as Pac-Man getting stuck in "scared" mode on top of the building which has three dustbins on it in Pulley Area without any power pellets to hand) and use this password, it will erase your percentage.
