Droid Washing is a way of making ATPs relatively quickly. It involves selling and buying commodities back and forth from a planet repeatedly.

Before Washing[edit]

The first thing to take into account is that droid washing is fairly expensive, somewhere just under 460,000 credits per ATP at maximum efficiency, and is therefore not recommended for the poor or faint of heart. It's strongly advised to grab a level 1 teleporter. This will mean that you can do roughly twice as much droid washing per day, with trades only costing 5 AP rather than 10. For the best results you also need to find the lowest population planet or starbase you can find. Nex sectors are generally good for this - but you're looking for 750 population planets and 500 population starbases. They can be slightly more populated, but not much. It is said that any commodity which you can sell a maximum of 20 of will give the same credit/ATP ratio, but the more expensive ones will be more AP efficient, so most people use droids. Grab around 41T of droids, and if you wish around 40T of anything else you wish to wash. Note that the more commodities you wash at once, the quicker your washing will be.

Washing[edit]

The below information is out of date. You can no longer buy/sell 20 tons if the base/planet already has 20t inside - it will say that it would exceed the stock max (even though the end result of the trade would not exceed the max). Also, minimum pop bases/planets do not consume anything besides food and water, so you can buy down to zero. Therefore, you just want to take 20 tons of each resource you're going to wash. Then trade 10 tons of each to the planet, and proceed to trade 10 tons back and forth.

Low population planets or bases will start off not letting you buy from them until you've sold 1T of a commodity (assuming no one else has sold anything to them). This is why we brought 41T of stuff with us. You'll want to sell 1T to the planet, then you sell 20T to the planet/base. Now you have 20T in your hold, and 20T available to buy on the base/planet. Just keep typing 20T into each of the boxes and trade your droids (and other stuff) back and forth from the planet/base into your cargo hold. Keep selling back and forth until you're almost out of AP, then buy back the stuff from the base so you have stuff in your cargo hold to set it all up again tomorrow. Assuming you still need ATP after the first 5000 AP.

Quick Washing[edit]

As above, you set up your planet/base for washing by selling 1T to it, however if you have a browser such as Firefox, you can then open the starbase/planet trade screen in a new tab by right clicking the "trade With Starbase/Planet" link, and selecting "Open in a New Tab". in this new tab, first sell 20T to the base/planet so that you again have 20T in your hold, and 20 on the base/planet. Then do the first swap, sell and buy 20T of materials in one trade. Then stop!

What you do next is hit "F5" on your keyboard, this should bring up a pop up asking if you want to resubmit post/form data. You just need to hit "enter" on your keyboard to do another trade. By rapidly hitting "F5" then "Enter" you can sell things back and forth very quickly - removing the need for you to type everything in before each trade. You can just keeping hitting those two buttons on your keyboard until you run out of AP! With the new planet popularity feature you will lose popularity by droid washing and will be banned from that planet's trade when your popularity reaches -25K.

Enjoy.

Note - this has been confirmed to work with the current versions of Firefox (13.0) and Pardus, but you have to follow the instructions exactly.
