Gynes' Strategy[edit]
The sisters have very nasty and very annoying skills at their disposal, including the following:
Demon's Venom Dhampir Claw Digestion Fire of Gehenna Song of Succubus Swarm of Moths Vampire Bat
They lack long range attacks but don't consider that any kind of advantage [for you]. If you try using long range attacks they will likely absorb or erase them. This goes similarly for medium range attacks. Their defenses are not particularly strong, but sometimes they are anti-pierce. One of the sisters will pay more attention to you than the other, but both will pay you a visit every now and then. Usually, they will come at you simultaneously. Expect them to use Demon's Venom excessively. This attack is a fall type so it may be hard to see it coming. This attack does not require line-of-sight so they may use it from the ground while you're on the roofs. You'll recognize the sound when they use it though. If you're on the rooftop they will spring up using the glowing phantom dust. Most of their attacks can be executed in mid-air; don't expect them to always land first. If you're on the ground with them they will use close attacks and crawl attacks more often.
Tsubutaki's Strategy[edit]
Your Strategy[edit]
At this stage players can choose their own set of skills. Therefore, there may be many different strategies.
Ping Pong Strategy[edit]
The Gyne sisters will randomly focus their attacks on you and Tsubutaki so it's only fair to do the same to them. Shelters are crucial to your survival. If you hear something coming at you use your shelter immediately. Different skills have different timings so eventually the sound will tip you off as to when to activate your shelter. Auto-shelters can be useful here, but don't charge into battle with one as your only defense. Photon Burst and Photon Wave are very important to your success as well (I'll refer to both as Photon Blasts from here on). Once you've got a shelter, a good level (around 10) and a Photon Blast, start the attack. Go straight for the nearest Gyne sister. Until you close in keep your finger on your defenses. Once you're in close, use your attack or use it as soon as they start to use Dhampir Claw. The best thing about Photon Blasts is that they execute faster than Dhampir Claw. Photon Wave can even destroy most of their defenses. As if that wasn't good enough, the Gyne sisters may try and absorb your attacks with Digestion but they'll take the full hit. Once a sister hits the ground go after the other one. You don't want to be there while they've got a few seconds of invulnerability. Stay on the ground the whole time unless your shelter(s) break or your level is reduced from Song of Succubus.
This is not a foolproof strategy. This mission requires timing and luck.

One-Shot Strategy[edit]
Most ranged skill use is ill advised since the Gyne sisters can absorb or erase ranged attacks. This does not count for high-damage piercing attacks. An arsenal with nothing but powerful single-use skills can be effective if you are an experienced player. Unlike the "Ping Pong" strategy you must stay on the roof near your start point. You'll be expending skills regularly and targets on the ground are easier to hit from above. If the sisters are advancing on you, defend first then attack as they retreat. Keep an eye on the damage of each sister and how powerful your attacks are. Don't use an attack to kill a sister if it does more damage than you need and the other sister is stronger. Tsubutaki will pick up some slack, but try to make sure the sisters are feeling the full damage from your attacks.

Enviornmental Crystal Placement[edit]
If you have an enviornmental skill that you really think would help, add it and Levitate to your arsenal. If you levitate onto one of the buildings in the center and use the enviornmental skill no one can retrieve the crystal but you.
