Pierce's Testimony: Why I Tore Out the Page[edit]
- I rushed to the vista deck, but the crime had already been committed.
- I saw Miss Ellen and Gloomsbury collapsed, and Master Sorin writing in his notebook.
- Master Sorin said to me, "I'll take the blame for the murder, so please take care of Ellen."
- But I went against his order. I tore the page out of his notebook, and hid the body.
Why I Tore Out the Page: Cross Examination[edit]
Press the 4th statement, select hid the body, then Add to testimony. A new statement is added:
- In the hold, I hid the still-warm body in the spare Pegabull lantern.
On this new statement, present broken latern.
Point out wheel handle to show that it got swapped.
You did it, this reveals that Dumas Gloomsbury was still alive when he was put in to the latern!
This reveals a different point of view, that Dumas was knocked unconscious by the first blow and when he tried to get out he was killed by the second blow and that proves that someone else could've killed Dumas.
Edgeworth says that proves his point, because the police saw ellen in front of the body, he says that you should prove that there was a third person involved.

The note was literally the murder plot.

Right to Remain Silent: Cross Examination[edit]
For once a witness that doesn't add extraneous remarks for you to contradict or any remarks at all for that matter. You will just have to Press the statements and ask questions to get something to work with. After you have pressed them all you will have a real testimony to work with.
- Gloomsbury was my right hand man. I'd suffer the most from losing him.
- I've never thought exacting revenge on Master Sorin.
- I was always in the company of others. I didn't have an opportunity to murder Gloomsbury.
Only the third of these statements actually gets you somewhere. Present the Photo of Reception on that statement, then present the Fog Machine at the next opportunity. Now you've proven that Mr. Nichody did indeed have only a single opportunity to murder Mr. Gloomsbury!
Now you have to prove that the murder was committed during the reception by Mr. Nichody.
How can you prove the murder took place during the wedding reception? If Pierce committed the murder during the reception, thrn he had to have used the murder weapon. Yes, the weapon that was used to strike the victim twice! According to the autopsy report, the victim was hit by the same object both times. So, without a doubt, Pierce used it to committ the murder!
The weapon used to kill Gloomsbury was The Time Keeper. If pierce struck the victim during that one, single moment...then he must have used the Time Keeper! Come to think of it, wasn't it also used for something else during the reception?
During the reception, the Time Keeper was also used for The First Startup of Love. That's right! The Time Keeper had been activated during the reception! If we activate the Time Keeper again now, and find any trace evidence of the murder...that would be conclusive proof that Gloomsbury was killed during the reception!
And now you activate the Time Keeper.
The symbol of the bride's love that's necessary for activitating it is Ellen's Pendant. But first, you have to figure out where the pendant goes. Press examine on the spot left of the yellow gear. This hole looks like a good spot, and it fits! Now you have to find a place to insert the key. Press examine on the middle of Ellen's pendant. It worked! Now all you have to do is find proof that the crime was committed during the reception. Press examine on the bloody and broken glass. This is conclusive evidence that the crime was committed during the reception.
Now Pierce has been exposed and you have enough evidence to land him in prison.

Pierce's prized shoulder thing gets destroyed. He confesses, as Ellen says that Selena would have said "leave this ill....", the clock strikes and Pierce now believes what he did is wrong.
