Route 8 is a marshy route with puddles of water that freeze over in winter. You can encounter Pokemon when the puddles aren't frozen:

- Stunfisk (Lv. 31-32)
This is a major opportunity to obtain the rare Pokemon, Stunfisk, with possibly the oddest mix of types in any Pokemon: Ground/Electric. It has fair coverage, such as Thunderbolt, Mud Bomb, Bounce and Muddy Water, and its stats are fairly good too. To the north is the Moor of Icirrus, with more items obtainable, however, it's difficult to navigate there in winter.

Suddenly, you see a huge steel structure to the east: this is the Tubeline Bridge. As you enter, Bianca catches up with you, challenging you to a battle:

Tubeline Bridge[edit]
This strong bridge has Subway trains passing right under it. First entering it, Ghetsis will be there. Also, from a Battle Girl you can get TM43, which contains Flame Charge.
Also, on Friday night, an interesting thing will happen here: the bridge will be taken over by a biker gang that call themselves the Black Empoleon.
