There are certain things to be done around town before you set out on expeditions. This page tells about the various places in Treasure Town.
Kangaskhan Storage[edit | edit source]
Kangaskhan Storage is a place to store all of your items that you do not wish to carry with you into dungeons. It is located just to the east of Sharpedo Bluff. This can be helpful if you have rare or valuable items, as you may lose them if you faint in dungeons. However, if they are in storage, they will not vanish if you faint in dungeons.
Xatu Appraisal[edit | edit source]
Xatu Appraisal is a shop where you can see what treasure boxes found in dungeons contain. For a fee of 150 Poké, Xatu will open the box. Many different items are found in boxes. Some of these items include seeds, bands, ribbons, and special species-specific items. For example, an Empol-Claw may be in the box. This items boosts Empoleon's Special Attack when placed in your bag.
Kecleon Shop[edit | edit source]
The two Kecleon brothers run a shop in Treasure Town. The green Kecleon, on the left, sells Gummis and items used in dungeons. The purple Kecleon, on the right, sells orbs and TMs. They will also buy your unwanted items, which is much more profitable than throwing unwanted items away.
Electivire Link Shop[edit | edit source]
In this shop, you can link moves for a small fee. Linked moves will be used one after the other without wasting your turn. This means that you can use up to four moves in one turn! However, if a linked move runs out of PP, it will delink and it will have to be linked again. For no charge, Electivire will help a Pokémon remember a move it has forgotten.
Chansey Daycare[edit | edit source]
Chansey will take care of any Eggs you receive as rewards for missions. Talk to her every so often to see if the Egg has hatched. When an Egg hatches, the baby Pokémon will offer to join your team. If you refuse, you will get 1000 coins instead.
Marowak Dojo[edit | edit source]
Here you can train against certain types of Pokémon by entering different mazes. Although no Pokémon can be recruited here, this is a good place to go to get items and experience. After reaching a certain point in the story, the dojo also serves as the gateway to Final Maze. The Pokémon here are at least level 40, so be sure you are ready before entering.
Duskull Bank[edit | edit source]
Here you can store money that you do not feel comfortable carrying into dungeons with you. If you faint in a dungeon, all of your money will be lost. However, money stored at the bank will not be lost.
Croagunk Swap Shop[edit | edit source]
Although this shop is in the basement of the guild, not Treasure Town, it is still important and it goes well with the other shops on this page. Remember Xatu Appraisal, where you could get Pokémon-specific items? This place lets you swap certain items for more powerful ones. For example, a Mudkip-Mud and a Mudkip-Card can be swapped for a Mud Jewel. There is a 150 Poké fee for each swap.
