New Moves and Abilities[edit]

Due to the increase in number of Pokémon, many new moves and abilities were added. Here's a list of all new moves added and a list of all new abilities added in Pokémon Sun and Moon.

New Moves[edit]

All new moves will be listed in alphabetical order, in addition to their Type, Base Damage, Accuracy, PP, Category (Physical, Special, Status), their Description/Additional Effects, and which Pokémon can learn it and how. Also, the TM number will be listed as long as it is a TM.

Accelerock Rock 40 100 20 Physical - The user smashes into the target at high speed. This move always goes first. Lycanroc (Midday Form) by evolution.
Anchor Shot Steel 80 100 20 Physical - The user entangles the target with its anchor chain while attacking. The target becomes unable to flee. Dhelmise at Level 32.
Aurora Veil Ice - - 20 Status TM70 This move reduces damage from physical and special moves for five turns. This can be used only in a hailstorm.
Baneful Bunker Poison - - 10 Status - In addition to protecting the user from attacks, this move also poisons any attacker that makes direct contact. Toxapex by evolution.
Beak Blast Flying 100 100 15 Physical - The user first heats up its beak, and then it attacks the target. Making direct contact with the Pokémon while it's heating up its beak results in a burn. Toucannon by evolution.
Brutal Swing Dark 60 100 20 Physical TM59 The user swings its body around violently to inflict damage on everything in its vicinity.
