GLaDOS will shut off all the lights and give you your “surprise,” and then sends you into the next puzzle.

The first thing you’ll need to do is portal your way over to the opposite wall, where there’s a button. This button will release two redirection cubes, but they’ll both fall into the water if you don’t do anything about it. Create a light bridge that goes vertically out of the ground at the end of the cloer block’s trajectory. This will block both of them and they’ll land in a spot that you can take them. Now head back the main area.

Grab the two blocks. I’d recommend using portals to do so. The first order of business: redirect the laser beam twice so that you can blow up the turret. Once you do that, use one redirection cube to hit two of the receivers, and use the second cube to redirect that beam into the last one (and into another receiver on the wall). The door will open!

To get to the door, make a light bridge on the wall to the left of the exit door.

As you enter the elevator, Wheatley will run into you and tell you to “hang in there for five more chambers.”

“Well, you know the old formula. Comedy equals tragedy plus time. And you have been asleep for awhile. So I guess it’s actually pretty funny when you do the math.”

First, grab the redirection cube and portal up to the end of the laser beam. Redirect the laser into the first receiver across the room. Next, you’ll need a second block. You can drop down onto it with portals; it’s to the left of the entrance.

The next bit of this puzzle requires the use of Aerial Faith Plate momentum. Shoot a blue at the blue target above the Aerial Faith Plate and an orange one at your feet. You’ll bounce off the Faith Plate, back through the orange portal, and up into the air. Before you fall, shoot a blue portal at the wall you want to exit; you’ll fly out of it with a lot of speed.

Use this trick to get the cube up to the end of the laser, then yourself. Redirect the beam into the next receiver. Do that momentum trick again to grab the bock at the corner of the room. Use the momentum trick again (with the block) and redirect the laser beam one more time. This will open the door. Use one last momentum trick and you’ll sail to the door, where you can elevator your way down.

Soon after you enter this puzzle, Wheatley will shut off all the lights and it’s time to run!

“Federal regulations require me to warn you that this next test chamber is lookin’ pretty good.”

This chamber requires you to get three lasers into three receivers. Shoot a blue portal across from the center receiver (by the door). Shoot an orange one at the end of the angled laser beam. Use the two redirection cubes to redirect the two lasers into the orange portal. Puzzle solved! Continue on.
