Having passed the tunnel to the northern end of London, Layton, Luke and Flora faces the imposing facility. If they want to put a stop to Dr. Allen's plans, they must find the time machine within this facility.
Entering the facility[edit]
Obviously, you can't just walk through the front gate to enter the facility. You need to find an alternate way in. Check the small door on the left wall for Puzzle 111, opening the secret entrance. Enter through it into the facility, where Don Paolo will be waiting. Check the sewer entrance for Puzzle 112, which leads to an underground tunnel.
Check the pool of water repeatedly for Puzzle 150. Check the metal gate for Puzzle 113, which will unlock it, letting you proceed forward. In the following room, you will meet Horace, who tells you that some scientists know about Dimitri Allen's true identity. Check the two henchmen guarding the door to trigger Puzzle 114. The wooden crate above the thugs will fall on them, letting you pass through.
Horace says that Dimitri Allen is probably in the central research room. He will also say that the dangerous weapons lying around the warehouse belong to a separate research group in the facility. Go through the door and talk to Cuthbert, who says the research room is just down the hallway, and that you've been spotted by the Family. Move forward and check the metal door for Puzzle 115.
Escape the facility[edit]
Just as you're about to open the door, Bostro and he rest of the Family corners you! However, a woman appears from an orange door and helps us escape! She reveals herself to be Celeste, Claire's younger sister, and likely the woman Layton mistaken for Claire before. Mystery 09 will be solved. Before you can talk about anything else, the Family bursts through the door!
Celeste tells you to remember the "old father's embrace", which is where you can meet her next. The group will split up, with Don Paolo accompanying Celeste while Layton takes care of the two children. Exit the area through the way you came. Once you're outside the facility, Layton will say that they can meet Celeste at the Thames Arms, and theorizes that it is also Dimitri's true headquarters and the location of the time machine.
Safe at last[edit]
Back at the North Bank, Layton will tell Luke about Claire. The explosion at the Polydimensional Institute was devastating, but there was little media coverage despite the scale of the blast. Layton's investigation uncovered that powerful political forces are trying to suppress news of the blast. However, he was assaulted and the evidence of the political intervention was taken away, and Layton has been unsuccessful at making a headway in his investigation ever since.
Enter the tunnel, where you will encounter Pavel, triggering Puzzle 116. Move south to return to the south bank, where Layton states that we're probably safe from the Family now. The Thames Arms is just a few screens away, so we better hurry there. What secrets will Celeste reveal about the town?
