The parrot is one of the three minigames that can be unlocked, accessed from the chest. It is unlocked by solving Puzzle 038, along with a practice course. Players get to name the parrot themselves.
The parrot minigame contains several errands that require you to deliver an item with the parrot. You must use the limited number or ropes you're given to guide the parrot to the ending platform. You must predict how the parrot will fly to successfully guide it to that platform. Ropes cannot intersect with each other or existing platforms. You will fail the errand if the parrot falls off the sides or bottom or if you run out of time.

Errand 00 have 3 different minigame (Morning, Lunch and Evening), while the other Errands only have one.

Rewards[edit]
Upon completing all of the errands, you will unlock The Messenger's House in the Layton's Challenges accessible in the bonus section, complete with three bonus puzzles. The parrot will also show you the location of hint coins once you finish the errands.
