Level objective[edit]

This is a secret level, reached from the Receiving Center, and has no specific objective. Just gather up as much of the equipment lying around as you can. After 30 seconds you will find yourself teleported back to the walkway near the waterfall outside the Receiving Center building.

Strategy[edit]

Waste no time! Run and pick up what you can!

There is no combat in this level. If you don't know in advance how the level is laid out, or if there is nothing that you particularly want to find, just run in some direction and gather up whatever you come across. If you want to collect some item in particular, for example the Rail Gun or the Quad Damage, then learn how to get to it (or read the Walkthrough, below) and follow the path to that, again running. To play through repeatedly until you get a result you like, quicksave the instant you arrive or, even better, in the pool at the top of the waterfall in the Receiving Center before the level starts.

Walkthrough[edit]

The path you follow, always running, will depend on what major item you particularly want to retrieve. Naturally, pick up everything else that you encounter on the way, for example the HyperBlaster that is directly in front of you when you arrive. If you have lots of Rockets and are short of Bullets, next take the door on the right. Otherwise, head to the left. Don't step on the floor button unless you discover some benefit. Follow the pink pipe / tunnel around a corner.

Drain the lava and then grab the Rail Gun.

The Rail Gun[edit]

The Rail Gun is an easy and useful objective. Even if you already have it, you will get ten more Slugs. Just go down the steps to the bottom, around a corner and into a large round room. The gun is at one side surrounded by lava. Go the other way, step on the floor button and wait for the lava to drain. Jump to the gun just as the last lava disappears and go out on the opposite side from where you entered, where there will be new stuff to pick up. At the top of the steps, turn and go for the Power Armor, then turn into the lava-filled room and see if you can get the Quad Damage as well. Alternatively, step on the lift platform to try for the Adrenaline, but this is more difficult to reach in the 30 seconds that you have available.

The Quad Damage[edit]

If the most important prize is the Quad Damage, go for that first. Don't go down the steps and instead turn immediately you come through the door at the end of the pink tunnel. Turn again in the same direction through another door into a room mostly filled with lava. Stay on the walkway and find the Quad Damage in an alcove. Keep going, out the other door and make for the steps down the other side. You should easily be able to get the Rail Gun as well. Almost as easy is to turn back when you leave the room with the Quad Damage and make for the steps that you were originally headed towards. You will then pick up the Power Armor on your way to the Rail Gun. If you don't want the Rail gun, go for the Adrenaline, see below.

The Adrenaline is on the far side of the ledge.

Adrenaline, Cells and Grenades[edit]

If you don't need more Slugs for the Rail Gun and either have a Quad Damage or don't use them, the Adrenaline is a worthy target. Again, avoid the steps down and turn across the middle passage. Pass the door to the lava-filled room and step on the lift platform just by the Power Armor. This takes you up to a circular ledge around the room with the Rail Gun in it. Run around, picking up Cells and Grenades. The Adrenaline, of course, is all the way on the other side. There is enough time to drop back down the shaft of the lift platform and duck into the lava room for the Quad Damage. If you don't mind taking some fall damage, you can alternatively drop down for the Rail Gun.
