QT Round 5 Overworld Map.png
五、関東 (Go, Kantō)
一之国越後 (Kazuyuki kuni Echigo)
ここの関所は (Koko no sekisho ha)
きびしいぞ! (Kibishī zo!)
Translation: 5, Kanto
First country Echigo
The point here is severe!

Scene 1[edit]

どのかごで行くんでえ (Dono kago de iku ndē)
乗らねぇんだな (Noranē nda na)
四択か 難しいぜ (Shitaku ka muzukashī ze)
次のノルマは3だ。 (Tsugi no noruma ha 3-da.)
Translation: Going in which cage
Do not ride it
Four choices are difficult
The next quota is 3.

As the fifth round's first three-script question appears on the scroll at the top of the screen, and its four possible answers are shown below it, the six "do-not-disturb" hotel signs hanging on hooks above the answers with the Kanji text of Jikan (時間) to their left will disappear (one for every second); you will have to press one of the four Answer Buttons to answer it before they all disappear, or your lord will lose a life-onigiri. If your answer is correct, a red "O" will appear around your chosen Kanji numeral as your lord receives 50 points for every tenth of a second he has remaining and one of the three correct-answer lights above him turns on - but if it's incorrect, a blue "X" will appear on top of the chosen Kanji numeral as he loses a life-onigiri. Once you have answered three questions correctly (if you are using MAME to play this game, the virtual cabinet has a "Show Correct Answer" setting which can be set to "Yes"), the game will return to the map as both lords proceed onto the second scene and the following Kanji/Hiragana text appears in its bottom-right:

二之国甲斐 (Ni no kuni Kai)
富士の山見り (Fujinoyama miri)
ゃ心も晴れる (Ya kokoro mo hareru)
Translation: Second country Kai
My heart will clear up when I see Mount Fuji

Note: It is also possible to press a button to select one of the other three cages at the start of a scene, and doing so may cause one of three other Kanji texts to appear in it: Ni-taku (二択), in which case the Kanji/Hiragana text of Ungaīna ni-takuda ze (運がいいな 二択だぜ) shall appear at the top of the screen and the questions shall only have two possible answers, Mitaku (三択), in which case the Kanji/Hiragana text of San-taku ka yōjin shite iki na (三択か 用心して行きな) shall appear at the top of the screen and the questions shall only have three possible answers, or Chikamichi (近道), in which case the Hiragana/Kanji text Medetē na chikamichi wo iki na (めでてぇな 近道を行きな) will appear at the top of the screen and the scene is skipped; when either Ni-taku or Mitaku appear in a cage you select read the word "four" in the above description's "four possible answers" as "two" or "three"; also, if Chikamichi (近道) appears in a cage you select at the start of a fourth scene, the boss of the scene will not be skipped and must be defeated.

Scene 2[edit]

どのかごで行くんでえ (Dono kago de iku ndē)
乗らねぇんだな (Noranē nda na)
四択か 難しいぜ (Shitaku ka muzukashī ze)
次のノルマは4だ。 (Tsugi no noruma ha 4-da.)
Translation: Going in which cage
Do not ride it
Four choices are difficult
The next quota is 4.

This scene is much the same as the previous one (only there are four correct-answer lights above both lords, instead of three); once you have answered four questions correctly, the game returns to the map as they proceed to the third scene and the following Kanji/Hiragana text appears in its bottom-right:

三之国武蔵 (San'no kuni Musashi)
花のお江戸で (Hana no oedo de)
捕物だ。 (Torimonoda.)
Translation: Third country Musashi
With the flower of Edo it is an obstacle.

Scene 3[edit]

どのかごで行くんでえ (Dono kago de iku ndē)
乗らねぇんだな (Noranē nda na)
四択か 難しいぜ (Shitaku ka muzukashī ze)
次のノルマは5だ。 (Tsugi no noruma ha 5-da.)
Translation: Going in which cage
Do not ride it
Four choices are difficult
The next quota is 5.

This scene is much the same as the previous two (only there are five correct-answer lights above both lords, rather than four); once you have answered five questions correctly, the game returns to the map as they proceed to the last scene and the following Kanji/Hiragana text appears in its bottom-right:

四之国常陸 (Shi no kuni Hitachi)
疲れをいやす (Tsukare wo iyasu)
宿場町 (Shukuba machi)
Translation: Fourth country Hitachi
A town for relaxing tiredness

Scene 4[edit]

どのかごで行くんでえ (Dono kago de iku ndē)
乗らねぇんだな (Noranē nda na)
四択か 難しいぜ (Shitaku ka muzukashī ze)
次のノルマは6だ。 (Tsugi no noruma ha 6-da.)
Translation: Going in which cage
Do not ride it
Four choices are difficult
The next quota is 6.

This scene is much the same as the previous three (only there are six correct-answer lights above both lords, rather than five); once you have answered six questions correctly, this round's boss, whose face is painted white with two large red circles on his cheeks, will appear on the right side of the screen:

QT Round 5 Boss.png
私が関東の旅主で (Watashi ga Kantō tabi-nushi de)
しゅ (Shu)
Translation: I am a traveller in the Kanto area

ふっふっふっ大分 (Fuffuffu Ōita)
疲れとるようじゃ (Tsukare toru yōja)
な。ふっふっふっ (Na. Fuffuffu)
Translation: Heh-heh-heh
You seem to get tired of Oita.
Heh-heh-heh

The screen shall then pan down to reveal four doors with the Kanji numerals for 1 to 4 on them as their categories are displayed at the top of the screen:

一 スポーツ (Ichi Supōtsu)
二 アニメ (Ni Anime)
三 自然・科学 (San Shizen kagaku)
四 雑学 (Shi Zatsugaku)
Translation: 1 Sports
2 Anime
3 Natural Science
4 Trivia

When you press a button to select a door (and a category), that geisha who sits on the inactive player's side of the screen in a one-player game will walk up to it as it slides open and enter it; you then have to answer seven questions of your chosen category correctly (indicated by the seven correct-answer lights above the lords). Once you have done so, the screen shall cut to a shot of both lords sitting on the now-defeated-and-tied-up boss on its right side:

QT Round 5 Boss Defeated.png
あちきの負けでし (Achiki no make deshi)
ゅー。国へかえり (Yū. Kuni ha kaeri)
ましゅー。 (Mashū.)
Translation: The loss of tomorrow.
I return to the country.

Bonus Scene[edit]

Quiz Torimonochou bonus scene.png

The game shall now proceed to its next bonus scene, which has an old man speaking the Hiragana text Sukina torī wo erabu noja. (すきなとりいをえらぶのじゃ。) in its bottom-right, as the arrangement of its paths rapidly changes several times; once they have stopped, both lords' heads will appear in two of the four torii at the top of it and the four boxes at the bottom of it are revealed to contain either one, two or three life-onigiri, or the Katakana text Suka (スカ). The lords' heads will now automatically start moving down the screen, going along a horizontal path every time they come to one until they reach one of the boxes at the bottom of it - and for a fifth time, whatever ones they were, the game shall proceed onto the sixth round which is set on Tōhoku. The Hiragana text Sukina torī wo erabu noja. also means "Choose your favourite torii", implying the buttons may also be used to choose a starting one.
