Stocke and his party members have access to a various amount of skills that are learned as they gain levels. Some skills are very simple, such as healing a party member or casting a fire spell on an enemy, while others take advantage of the unique grid system used in battle. Skills can be divided into Physical skills, which are attacks based on the character's ATK stat; Magic Skills, based on the MAG stat; Support Skills, which are also usually based on the MAG stat where applicable; and Mana Burst skills, which can be further divided into any of the previously mentioned three. All skills use some MP with the exception of Mana Burst skills, which when used deplete a character's Mana Gauge. Mana can be replenished via the use of combos in order to execute another Mana Burst, but MP cannot be replenished in this way. As the party begins to reach higher levels, more powerful and/or useful skills will be learned by the characters.
