Rainbow Islands/Point items

The point items are obtained in three different ways.

Collecting the items that are located on platforms

These items are fixed, and will disappear if they are not collected after a certain amount of time passes.

Attacking enemies by creating rainbows

Attacking subsequent enemies will cause the value of the items which appear to increase. This increase continues when you travel from one island to another. Note that crushing enemies with a falling rainbow results in diamonds instead of point items.

Creating rainbows over certain platforms

Some platforms have items hidden in them, and you can uncover them by creating rainbows. You can even make more than one item appear from the same location, but it won't always happen. The increase in item value resets when you travel to a new island.

Most of the items, and the order that they appear in, are similar to the order of Bubble Bobble point items. However, additional items are thrown in to slow down the rate at which you can reach the higher point items. If you manage to collect the 80th item, the money bag, the count will reset, and the next item you receive will be the pepper.
