Description: In Renegade, you your first fight takes place inside of a seedy subway station, while in Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun, it takes place on the platform of a train station. Either way, you will have to face off with two stick wielders and four brawlers. Once three of them are down, the boss will join the fight.
Special Features: The right edge of the platform is a huge drop that will instantly knock out any one who falls down there, including you. With your back to the drop, try to punch or jump kick an emeny until the double over, then collar grab them and toss them over your shoulder and off the platform for a quick defeat.
Description: In New York or in Tokyo, biker gangs like to hang out on the pier. And before the bother to deal with you directly, you'll have to take on a group of six bikers who will appear two at a time. In order to get on with the fight, you'll have to knock the bikers off their bike. Your best bet is to stand your ground in the middle of the stage and time your attack. A punch will never work. A back kick will almost always work, but it's very difficult to do intentionally. That leaves you with a jump kick which stands a good chance of working if you time it late.
Special Features: The left edge of the pier goes right up to the water, which you can use to instantly defeat enemies, just like the right edge of the platform on the previous stage. You'll need to use this technique to make up for the time lost knocking bikers off their bikes in the first portion of the stage.
Description: It's late at night, and you've stumbled into the wrong part of town. Neon light of all the night clubs and bars are lit, and it must be ladies' night, because the only patrons waiting outside is an all female gang that doesn't take kindly to strangers. In Renegade, this group of brutish women know where your girlfriend is really being held, but you'll have to fight to make the large boss talk. In Kunio-kun, it's just another group of students at an all girl school who picked on the wrong boy. Unlike in the past, there are three heavy attack fighters, not two.
Special Features: Sadly, there are no special features to this stage. You'll have to beat up and defeat these gang members the old fashioned way. The boss of this stage is rather large, so conventional fighting isn't recommended. She will chase after you if you try to run away, which makes her rather susceptible to a running back kick, your best weapon against her.
Description: You've finally made it to the turf of the last gang. In Renegade, this is where your kidnapped girlfriend is being held. This gang clearly knew you were coming, and they mean business. All of these well dressed drugs are brandishing ice picks, and they won't hesitate to use them. Just one hit from them means instant doom for you, so you'll have to do everything in your power to stay away from them when they are about to swing. The trick to this fight is never stop moving. Only four of them will be present to fight you, but that doesn't mean you're done when you defeat them. Once you do, you'll head inside the club of the lead gang boss and take the fight right to his office. Three more ice pick holders will be waiting for you inside, while the boss will make his presence known with his gun. As you might expect, a single bullet is all that it will take to put you down.
Special Features: There are no particular special features in this stage aside from the fact that it takes place across two different scenes. Once you defeat the first four thugs on the outside, you will automatically advance to the interior of the building. Shortly after you arrive in the office, the lead boss will enter from his private room and immediately join the fight with his gun. He can only fire the gun to the left and to the right, so you can move out of his line of fire by moving above or below him. It's difficult to fight the boss while the other three thugs are running around with ice picks, so focus on taking them out as quickly as possible.
