Survival Knife[edit]

  • Game Description: Appears to be a Standard Military Issue Knife
  • Characters who receive this weapon: Jill (Alternate Version for Chris)
  • Ammo Type: N/A
  • Capacity: N/A
  • Power: Low
  • Best Used against: Crow's, Baby Spiders, Bee's, Garden Snake, Zombies, Downed Enemies
  • Found in: Inventory Screen (Jill & Chris), Black Tiger's Lair (Both Characters)

The Survival Knife is a weapon given to Jill (an alternate version is available for Chris). It's a weak weapon and as in most Resident Evils it's best left as a last resort weapon or put into the Item box to save space for better weaponry. Though the weapon does not do much damage it's quite fast and is effective mostly on downed opponents. Things like Zombies and single downed Cerebri are best, Ravens or Bees are harder to strike but it's best just run in those encounters. The Survival Knife is found in Jill's inventory at the start of the game and another can be found in the Black Tiger's Lair (both characters).

Combat Knife[edit]

  • Game Description: A Broad Hunting Knife
  • Characters who receive this weapon: Chris (Alternate Version for Jill)
  • Ammo Type: N/A
  • Capacity: N/A
  • Power: Low
  • Best used on: (See Survival knife)
  • Found in: Inventory Screen (Chris Only)

The Combat knife is the alternate version for Chris. The Combat Knife is an 8 Inch Blade Bowie Knife wielded by Chris Only. The weapon has marginally increased damage and range but suffers in the lack of an attack rate. It's better to dump this in the nearest item box you find but can be useful much like what the Survival knife as explained above.

Berreta M92F Custom[edit]

  • Game Description: The standard Handgun for STARS Members
  • Characters who receive this weapon: Jill & Chris
  • Ammo Type: Handgun Bullets
  • Capacity: 15 Rounds
  • Power: Average - Medium
  • Best used on: Zombies & Cerberus, Web Spinners, Smaller Enemies
  • Found in: Inventory Screen (Jill & Rebecca), Mansion Hall 1F (Chris)

The Berreta M92F Custom is standard Issue for all STARS Members. Its a starter weapon for Jill at the start of the game and holds 15 Bullets per magazine and takes Handgun Magazines (called Handgun Bullets or Clips) each holding 15 rounds a piece. Chris Later finds the weapon in the Mansion Main hall after he's faced his first zombie and returned from the dining room and Rebecca the supporting character has this in her inventory too during Chris Section. It's mostly effective on Zombies and Cerberus but will require more ammo when facing tougher opponents. It is however useful against web spinners or the giant spiders as Six shots are all you need from a handgun to drop one. In the Game cube Remake the Berreta allows for a Critical hit, this hit has the same potential damage to a magnum shot and allows for a decapitation kill which prevents Crimson Heads! For each character it varies though for number of critical hits, both Jill and Rebecca have a 10% chance to score a critical hit, Chris has a 20% chance to score a hit. The Berreta Handgun is useful mostly at range and therefore should be dumped into the Item box when Shotgun shells become more common. If need be however you can keep a fully loaded Handgun in as Backup. You should only take out the Handgun when you need to save ammo or are out of ammunition for your more powerful weapons.

Shotgun[edit]

  • Game Description: Remington 870, A regular Hunting Shotgun
  • Characters who receive this weapon: Jill & Chris
  • Ammo Type: Shotgun Shells
  • Capacity: 6 Rounds
  • Power: Medium - High
  • Best used on: Zombies & Cerberus, Web Spinners, Hunters, Sharks, Chimeras, Plant 42, Crimson Heads, Crimson Head Elder, Yawn
  • Found in: Smoking Room [Mansion 1F]

The Shotgun is the first powerful weapon either Jill or Chris finds. However Jill can get a hold of the Grenade Launcher before the shotgun! The Shotgun is located on the Mansion 1F in the smoking room. Jill can get the weapon early as Barry rescues her from the ceiling trap but Chris will have to use a Broken Shotgun in order to get it. The Shotgun holds 6 Shotgun shells in its capacity and its a powerful and is a useful weapon and it has its many uses too. The shotgun like any shotgun found in games is excellent at close range but poor at long range. Its got a large spread so it can strike multiple targets in a group this can be a good thing though depending on the occasion. The shotgun has a variety of uses against various enemies as shown below:

  • Shotgun vs Zombie - A very common event with the shotgun, aiming at mid section will take roughly two or three shotgun shells to kill a single zombie and more with a group. Aiming high allows you to decapitate a Zombie with a single blast and can be used on multiple zombies that are grouped up, however a decapitation will roughly work on the majority but not all zombies, some zombies may still have their head intact after a face full of lead. Aim low to blow the Zombies legs off slowing movement but the zombie can still attack if its legs are blown off!
  • Shotgun vs Cerberus - Not very common but a few well placed shotgun shells will kill a Cerberus in 1 or 2 hits. It won't normally exceed above 3 shots, usually. The spread of the shotgun helps in hitting multiple Cerberus in a single hit.
  • Shotgun vs Crimson Heads & Elder - Similar to Zombies but they take more shells to take down. They roughly take 4 to 5 shotgun shells to the mid section so it’s best to aim for the head and fire away. However the elder can take up to 12 shots to the Mid section with the shotgun! So be careful during the fight with the elder Crimson Head.
  • Shotgun vs Web Spinner - Shouldn't take much effort, a shotgun shell or two will put them down for good but has a habit of making them release baby spiders upon death.
  • Shotgun vs Shark - Aim down and put 2 or 3 shotgun shells into the sharks as they come up and they should die pretty easily but take care not to stand around when Neptune's around!
  • Shotgun vs Hunter - Unlike the original Hunters these ones now take 2 or 3 shotgun shells to put one down unlike having to fire 4 or 5 rounds to kill a Hunter in the Original. Take care though since the shotgun isn't very fast so make sure you pull some distance when fighting hunters with the shotgun!

The Shotgun is a very useful weapon and for Chris he will have to use it during the majority of his time in the Mansion until he either gets a hold of the Magnum revolver or Richards Assault Shotgun.

Assault Shotgun[edit]

  • Game Description: Richard Aiken's Personal shotgun, A police type shotgun complete with a Pistol grip
  • Characters who receive this weapon: Jill & Chris
  • Ammo Type: Shotgun Shells
  • Capacity: 10 Rounds
  • Power: Medium - High
  • Best used on: Zombies & Cerberus, Web Spinners, Hunters, Sharks, Chimeras, Plant 42, Crimson Heads, Crimson Head Elder, Yawn
  • Found in: Jill - Attic (Mansion 2F), Chris - Aqua Ring (Residence B2F)

Richard’s favorite weapon and the gun he uses during the Battle with Yawn as Jill. Jill can pick this weapon up after Yawn has killed Richard in the Attic and Chris finds this weapon in the Aqua ring shortly after Richards Demise to Neptune. The Assault shotgun has a smaller spread than that of the standard shotgun and is more accurate over a distance, its got more ammunition in its magazine than the standard shotgun and is significantly more powerful as well. The Assault shotgun functions in the same way as the standard shotgun but has more benefits than over the standard. Once you find this weapon you should fire off the last few rounds in the standard shotgun and use this gun instead as it is far better. Since it carries 10 rounds you won't need to reload so often but take care on your ammo. A very useful gun Jill and is especially useful with Chris.

Grenade Launcher/Bazooka[edit]

  • Game Description: Grenade Launcher/Bazooka, (Rounds) are loaded
  • Characters who receive this weapon: Jill
  • Ammo Type: Explosive Shells, Acid Shells, Flame Shells
  • Capacity: 6
  • Power: Varies on Ammunition Type:
  • Best used on: Anything
  • Found in: East Outer Balcony (Mansion 2F) - Jill Only

The Grenade Launcher/Bazooka is a weapon exclusive only to Jill and is her most powerful weapon in her inventory. It’s found on the decaying Corpse of Forest, Bravo Teams Vehicle Specialist located on the Mansions 2F East Outer Balcony. It’s the heaviest weapon Jill can pick up and comes equipped with six standard explosive grenades. The best thing about the grenade launcher is the fact that the weapon can fire three types of ammunition each with their own uses. Explosive rounds are your basic explosive grenades, they effective mostly on groups of targets such as Zombies, Hunters and Chimeras including Cerberus Hounds, but take care when using it against fast enemies as they can dodge incoming rounds easily. Acid Rounds are filled with a powerful acid that burns and in some cases poisons your enemy for a short time, they work best against the most powerful threats, this includes bosses and can drop Hunters in a single shot or two, take care though as Acid rounds are heavier than grenade rounds and have less distance. Flame rounds are filled a flammable gel like substance and anything that touches it is set alight in a blaze of fire, these are very good against plant type bosses (such as Plant 42), Chimera's, Web Spinners including the Black Tiger Boss and are especially useful against zombies as they prevent crimson heads from appearing. The Grenade Launcher will serve you well during much of Jill’s game.

.357 Magnum Revolver[edit]

  • Game Description: Colt Python Revolver loaded with .357 Magnum
  • Characters who receive this weapon: Jill & Chris
  • Ammo Type: .357 Magnum
  • Capacity: 6 Rounds
  • Power: High
  • Best Used on: Hunters. Chimera, Zombies, Crimson heads, Neptune and virtually anything else!
  • Found in: Grave Plot (Courtyard 1F)

The most powerful weapon available for either Chris or Jill. The .357 Magnum revolver is very powerful. It can down any enemy with one shot including hunters which are quite hard to take down but it can be extremely useful. Sadly ammunition is an all time low and appears only in a few areas of the game. In total there are roughly 4 or 5 sets of Magnum Bullets. The weapon holds 6 shots, and with those 6 shots you got to make them count as if you miss you will be losing out of your most powerful weapon. For Jill this won't matter much if she runs out as she can just use the Assault Gun or Grenade Launcher but with Chris save this powerful ammunition for enemies that really need it, such as Hunters, Chimeras or Bosses. The weapon is found in the Grave plot in the courtyard and you must set the three medals into the correct slots.

.44 Magnum Revolver[edit]

  • Game Description: Silver Serpent Revolver Loaded with .44 Magnum Bullets
  • Characters who receive this weapon: Jill
  • Ammo Type: N/A
  • Capacity: 6 Rounds
  • Power: Very High
  • Best used on: Anything
  • Found in: Altar (Altar B2F)

This is the most powerful conventional weapon found by Jill next to the Self Defence Gun. This is Barry's Magnum and you get it if Barry dies at the altar. Its a .44 Magnum revolver and uses bullets separate to the .357. So this means that there's no ammunition for it, sadly. It can almost kill anything in one hit but its only got six shots so if Barry does die, save it for those much needed battles like with Bosses. The weapon is the only thing that really phases either Lisa Trevor or Tyrant and its more of a waste firing on other enemies. Really save this weapon for when you really need some serious fire power!

Self Defence Gun[edit]

  • Game Description: .22 Magnum Derringer, one shot has already been used
  • Characters who receive this weapon: Chris & Jill
  • Ammo Type: N/A
  • Capacity: 1 Round
  • Power: Very High
  • Best used on: Hanging Zombie, Neptune
  • Found in: Room 001 (Residence 1F)

This small pistol is really powerful, it was used to commit suicide by a researcher who shot his friend and then hung himself. It’s a single shot pistol and hasn't really got many uses. At best it’s effective on the Hanging zombie that awakens but even better is to shoot the giant shark Neptune with it as it kills anything in one shot! Bosses included. But as I said it only has one shot and is useless after that, as there is no other ammunition left for it. Find a boss you want dead and just shoot it once with this pistol and it’s all over for them. Just remember to throw it in the item box once you used it.

Flamethrower[edit]

  • Game Description: A flamethrower created by Umbrella Corp
  • Characters who receive this weapon: Chris
  • Ammo Type: N/A
  • Capacity: 100 Percent, 1 percent used per second
  • Power: Low
  • Best Used on: Web Spinners, Small Spider, Black Tiger
  • Found in: Boulder Passage 1 (Courtyard BF)

The Flamethrower is a Chris Only weapon and is found in the tunnels deep beneath the mansion. It’s near useless on anything down there as it runs low on ammo quickly and does a low damage. It’s mostly used to help with the hook mechanisms where you must place a weapon on the hooks but does have its usefulness against the web spinners. When facing black tiger use the Flame thrower on it, the normal web spinners too as it takes them down quickly. But take care as you may need a secondary weapon to finish off Black tiger or the web spinners just in case your weapon does run out of juice. In other words the Flame thrower is almost useless on anything else but can be effective for use against the various web spinners.
